Default George Carlin has died.

I know that's not very fun or recreational, but he definitely belonged in my jokes, humorous stories, pleasurable experiences, and enjoying life area. He helped me immensely when I was a kid growing up.

Here's the obit.

Ahh, he will be missed. He is by far my favorite stand-up comedian and he will always be one of the greats.

Oh no! He was one of my favorite comedians. in fact, last time he appeared in town here I told Steve we simply had to go see him. Steve was reluctant but I insisted. I'm so glad I got the chance to see him live before he left.

Then again... maybe he'd be willing to come to me with a private performance now... hmmm.... I'll bet they give him his own channel in the ether

Oh no! George was one of those guys who had just been around forever to the point you kind of forget that one day he won't be around anymore.

Such a funny guy!

Never heard of him before the news of his death. Appears to have been pretty good.

Default A sad day...

He profoundly affected the way I perform Stand Up. He was one of the all time greats. It's sad they haven't done more on TV. It's like people either already forgot him, or never knew who he was. Maybe they'll do more in the next few days.

So hard to believe George decided to "check out." My favorite routine was his bit about "stuff" and how we all get so much "stuff" and then we have to find a place to put our "stuff", et cetera. Now, he has left all his stuff behind.

My first experience with George Carlin was his "A Place For My Stuff" album in the early 80's. He enjoyed comparing and contrasting with word play, I guess that's why he appealed to my comedic tastes. He will truly be missed...

Wow, this really does show me how well I keep up with the world... I had no idea. Ironically enough, I posted my signature minutes before opening this post. Strange. RIP George Carlin, you will be missed.
