Who inspires you and why?

I wanted to see who inspires people and why.. so I will go first.
There is a friend of mine who had a brain aneurysm about 12 years ago. he died for a little while and lost a lot of his abilities. The doctors all told him he would never walk or talk again. In an interview with the local newspaper a few years later he told them that at that moment he said, you know what? I ll do it. He is not the same person he was before.. but he is walking and talking and gardening and pretty functional. Not 100% but so what? Very inspirational indeed.
