The Waiting Dilemma.

It eased the gloom of dusk for him that his mother would arrive soon. He waited, trapped, between the blazes of thoughts and the narrow prospects of sight. But the waiting seemed long.

The hunger has aroused in his guts, but he endured and decided to wait. It’s that he doesn’t want to eat without his lover.
Eating has a special feel of pleasure in her presence.
When she’s ready, they eat together.

In the moments of boredom creeping on the gray fields of his head, he remembers that his grandson is late.
He has sent him to the supermarket to bring him something, but he seems to be fooling around as always.
He told him to go and return quickly.
But he never listens.

When the pain got extreme, the long trapped soul declared its desire for liberation, and the old frail organs twisted in the last suffering’s lap.
But his feeling of thirst increased until it covered everything.
He waited, in spite of the unbearable pain, for his wife to come and provide him with a cup of water.
But a sarcastic thought stood suddenly in the middle of all that delirium, to strike his awareness with a fact that has been lost in the mazes of the mind that was seeking lies and illusions all time. And the sarcastic thought turned into thunderous question, so wistful, so bewildering: Didn’t you notice that all the people you wait for don’t arrive?
In this very moment he tries to find out the secret behind that dilemma.
A simple solution loomed to him.
That is, in the very few reaming moments of his life, he’ll stop waiting.
