Default Why don't we do it more often?

We participated. An hour is so easy. Why can't we all just do it once a week? I plan to. It's a good excuse for romantic candlelight!

I was in a concert hall watching a symphony but I did symbolically turn off my cell phone and they did turn off the lights when the show began at 8pm so I feel good about my puny efforts.

Talking

We did this. We only remembered last minute when the Google website went black (as opposed to its usual glaring white) as a token to Earth Hour.

We unplugged our laptops, turned off the lights and lit some nice candles.

It was great.

If it saves so much energy, why don't more sites get rid of that glaring white background? I'm not a fan of the white anyway.

Blessings,

I'm not and I won't. I totally don't get this. Seems like a scarcity mindset to me.

It actually takes the same amount of energy regardless of what color the background is. Google mentioned that on the site.
