Default August Rush

Has anyone else here seen August Rush? I felt it was rather good!

(okay, I was crying like a baby half way through... I'm a bit of a sucker for this type of flicks)

I was also impressed by how the makers managed to capture what music means to a musician.

Jim, I saw it yesterday. I had a hard time not letting my date see that I was crying Fortunately I was distracted by things that seemed illogical to me in the story, or that seemed to be errors, which prevented me from crying all the time. I wouldn't say it's an excellent movie, but it's ok.

What I really loved was the music he hears everywhere, on the street, and how it orchestrates to a real rythmic song

Yeah, the story itself isn't stellar (typical Hollywood fare), but they nailed the music.

And to AllieK: why can't you cry in front of your family? Afraid they'll see that you are a human being who can be moved by sound and pictures? (My guess is they already know that anyway)

I saw it last Saturday. It was excellent for precisely the reason Jim said.
