Yes, this is a serious post. There's so many kinds of them even only of a single brand that is easy to get confused. You may say... they're good as long as you use them... lol. Some say they are more secure, some more sensible... Any advice? |

Magnum... Haha, my husband told me to say that.

I usually go for Durex. However, it did break once. I didn't freak out because it was with my regular partner, but I realized that when it happens with someone you are not sure about you must freak the hell out. Obviously, I forgot to pinch the thing before I put it on. Most of the times, those kind of problems are due to human mistakes. Anyway, I stay with Durex. When I was in New York, I saw the Trojans, but my gf then told me that they're not as good. So I didn't try. Besides, a trojan sounds pretty much like "a virus". Exactly the thing you don't want to be remembered when you need that kind of things. |

I use durex, if you go to a family planning clinic you can pick up 30 at a time for free (every day) - Although that may only be while your under 18 - best start packing for uni I turn 18 in June, thats 6 and 2/3 months thats 200 days (roughly) thats 6,000 condoms Dya think that'll be enough? Approximately 6 for every day in university - ive never been before will that be enough? Many Thanks

My husband and I bought a mixed bundle on ebay to try out the different kinds. They were a lot cheaper than from the store and it was fun to try something different each time. We use durex, although not for any particular reason. Our favourites were ribbed and dotted (sensations I think), tingle, and the ones that make it last longer, I forget what they're called. A lot of people I know like the ribbed ones. The teat shaped ones are apparently more comfortable for the guy than the straight ones. We tried some "natural" non lubricated ones and they were just awful, we were equally unimpressed with the extra lubricated ones, they just felt slimy. Basically it comes down to personal choice. I don't think there is a lot of difference in safety and effectiveness across different brands or types as they have to conform to certain standards. My advice is try some out and see which you prefer. If you do get them from ebay or somewhere, be sure to check the expiry dates before you use them. |

Secondhand condoms nice! As for what Im planning on at university, well If I was going to take 6000 condoms its pretty obvious dont you think: University condom shop 'only' 50p each - £3000 no problems! That will pay for my first years tuition fees

Why would I want to be a gigolo? You earn twice as much money if you call yourself an 'escort with extras'

| Good for you! Well, when you do decide to start, don't worry about repackaged condoms. It's impossible to tamper with the packaging without someone noticing. Quote:

Best I found in my "fast and furious" college years was LifeStyles UltraSensitive (Silver pack). In a few hundred used, never had one break. I've had broken trojans, durex, atlas, kimono, ... The only lifestyles that I have ever had break on me were ribbed ones. My personal opinion on the subject is that the ribbed ones may be more fun for her, but they are MUCH more likely to break. If she wants some kind of extra fun, take her shopping for a vibrating ring. Lube is also a must if you are going to last longer than about 15 minutes. The lube that comes on lubed condoms doesn't last long at all... and most women only remain wet for about 15... "rug burns" in that area are not a good thing. And I really have no lube recommendations other than the fact that Ky gets really sticky after a while. One last thing of note... Test reactions first. If she's alergic to spermacide, or latex, or the type of lube that you choose... it is NOT going to be fun. (not going to be fun if the man is alergic either). One last note about college that most parents would hunt me down for giving... Experiment! Even if you don't think you'd like something, try it anyway and find out. It would REALLY suck to find out after getting married that you REALLY love oral, and your husband/wife HATES it. College is a good time to find out what you like and don't in the bedroom... You can discuss those desires, etc. with potential mates later. (the purity test is a good source for examples/ideas) It would also suck to find out that you are gay after you have three kids age 2 - 9. --Doku |

I don't know about anyone else, but I've never had to use lube. She's usually wet at least an hour before we even have sex so it seems totally useless. The only one's I've used, well, at least bought myself, have been trojan ribbed. They're alright. I mean a condom's a condom, as long as it gets the job done, I can take care of the rest.
