That's who I was thinking of -- Christopher Pike who ended up an interstellar vegetable, I can't remember why. We used to call that episode, "The Buttheads" because of the shape of the aliens' noggins.

Are you talking about another Christopher Pike?

I'm referring to the fiction author Christopher Pike. Maybe the Star Trek Captain Christopher Pike moved onto writing sci-fi thrillers after his injury? Sounds plausible considering the circumstances.

OMG Dan, I knew we were sympatico!

Christopher Pike is awesome. I've read every single one of his books.

I didn't know he was still writing. Is this an adult book or a young adult book?

I wanted to name our daughter Sati. You know why. But Steve wouldn't let me.

I'd have been OK with it if we could rename your mother to Lwaxanna or Endora.

Yeah, as long as she doesn't brag about being able to drink poison it should be fine.
