im a graphic designer. i chose it because i wanted a job with variety, and imagination, and play. ive enjoyed drawing since i was small, so i thought it would be a good thing to take on as a career. although ive come to discover its not as free as i had imagined.

i enjoy singing as well, its like therapy. oh, and i make 'trash' sculptures. that just sort of comes naturally to me. whenever i eat something i always end up folding the wrapper into some sort of shape. i also like playing with blu-tack.

I'm a painter, specifically acrylic, with impressionist undertones. This nearly used to be my profession many years ago until it was relegated to "hobby" status as I got caught up exploring my "left brain" and somehow found myself a software developer. I'm also a talented writer, though of a journalistic nature as opposed to fiction. I've played the piano, tenor sax and trumpet. Playing music doesn't do much for me anymore; I far prefer listening.

Is anyone into Hot Rodding? Street Rodding? I just love every aspect of it, but I dont have a dime and it is an expensive sport. But tehnical and artistic at the same time. (Making pretty cars out of old junk)

I WRITE in my native language (English isn't my native language).
I MAKE FILMS in my native language.
I involve in many other creative activities like painting, music, infopreneurship, etc.

I love the creative outlet and freedom my chief profession and other activities I involved in offer.

I love creativity... and creatively inclined people.

I've always been creative. It's important part of my life. I'm not a master in any spesific creative field, because there are so many things I like to do, but it's not important.

I think what's important is that everyone would express themselves creativily in one way or the other. I believe it's important to happiness and health.

I like to sing (karaoke), draw and paint a little (I'm not good at it, but I don't have to be) and I enjoy taking (or rather making) photos and editing them with image editors and I used to write fiction, but I don't seem to have time and inspiration to do that much at the moment, but I will get back to it when the writing bug attacks me.

I'm currently working in an art gallery, so I'm surrounded by other people's creativity everyday

Drawing, Water color Painting.
especially when I travel it helps 'burn in ' the memory and experience in my mind.

Default Film making

I really got into film making a few years ago. I love making silly movies, and just bouncing ideas of people. My friends and I have produced flicks like "Take My Picture" (and part 2), which are short movies taken frame by frame from a digital camera. It's pretty sweet.

My creative hobbies include music - drums, guitar, and singing. I want to learn violin but just haven't had a chance just yet.

As well as writing(all different kinds) anything from lyrics, poetry, novels, to of course blog entries.

I also make movies, mostly short films and documentaries, which I've been doing for several years.

I write. I get pretty lazy, though, which is really stupid because writing makes me feel so much better. I don't know why it's hard to motivate myself to do something I know will bring instant gratification.

I mostly journal, but I used to write poetry, and I'm slowly working on a novel (would anyone actually read a novel written by an 18 year old?). Some of my journal entries might be decent enough to make public, I suppose.

Hello David,

The writer of Eragon (I don´t remember his name) was 15 or 16 when finished the first volume of the trilogy!
I love to write, and used to feel like you...hardly motivaded to finish a story. I realized that there were this annoying voice whispering in my ear "You should be doing something else". Well, the voice was wrong! I needed discipline, not motivation.

Keep writing! Word after word until the end of your story.

I am a speedcuber. Literally, I try to solve the Rubik's cube as fast as possible. My current fastest time is 17.78 seconds. It is a fairly un-well known sport, only a few thousand world wide actually solve for speed. The current world record is 10.48 seconds (video availible here).

There are competitions world wide, for the regular 3x3x3 cube, along with 4x4x4, 5x5x5, 2x2x2 and other various puzzles. If you are interested, feel free to check out Welcome to speedcubing.com!.

I'm into music production (trance, hiphop, rnb etc using Cubase+Reason). I'm also a trance DJ and a community builder. Besides that I work on the most professional PHP framework which involves lots of creative planning on paper and I'm creatively building companies like this and a new sound studio to be announced soon.

That's all my creative job and hobby. I'm lucky (but I tend to lose the people I love and that sucks all life energy out of me).

i like working on my parents old car, a 1988 dodge diplomat. i call it "the chick magnet". its still one of the old mopar cars that has a carb, fuel pump, etc...so its fun to tinker with and fix things as they need repair rather than taking to shop for high tech diagnostic and mechanics (which would cost more than the car's blue book value).

in general i enjoy working with my hands and making positive results out of things that look bleak. ive been thinking about doing some real estate stuff...maybe buy a house or two a year, fix them up, and then resell them. nothing major like on TV, just fun projects to keep me motivated and so i can see some results materialize from my own energies and creativity.

I was born to write - with my inquisitive nature and all these crazy thoughts bouncing around in my head, writing provides the perfect outlet.

I admit, I'm not very disciplined, which is why I have yet to publish anything. I usually start something when I get an idea, but then the excitement wears off and I leave it. I write anything from poems to screenplays and I know I'm good at it.

I've been journaling a lot lately, but offline. I started a blog, but then the motivation disappeared. Also, I'm very private so for me to my thoughts out there is kinda scary.

What I really want to write is a fictional murder mystery that will eventually be turned into a movie. In addition to this, I also want to publish my poetry and write rock songs.

I'm a graphic designer by trade.

But in my spare time I take acting classes, I sing, I perform in Musical Theatre and I go out at least once a fortnight with my friends on a Photography Adventure.

I used to ride Flatland BMX. It has a bit of a creative element to it and requires dedication, focus, good balance and body awareness. I miss it and haven't ridden in about 4 years but recently decided to get back into it. Now I just have to save up for a new bike. Maybe polyphase sleep will give me more time since that was the reason I quit.

I play the piano, roughly 2 years now.
I'm learning to play the violin.
I do mindmaps and freehand drawing.
Occasionally I'll do some random writing, a friend of mine apparently enjoys them.

I write. Just close my eyes, take a deep breath and let my innermost thoughts splurge onto the page. Then I read it and think - "huh, where did that come from".

Does creating games count? I'm sure it does even if your hobby is your job (though I am my own boss). Feel free to check out our latest game - Runes of Avalon

Default Well,

I love to write. I don't talk much, so writing was my favorite way of communication. I love email now..but I still enjoy writing letters by hand. I write poetry. I write it more as a way to send a message...make people think! I want to write lyrics, so I'm looking into that.

I crochet hats. It used to be a way to show people how much I cared about them. Now people want to order them. That kind of took the fun out of it.

There's so much more I want to learn. Acting, singing. It's all more of a fantasy than anything. You all are inspiring with all of the things you manage to do.

Roni

So true, one of my favourite things to do was to make Gingerbread houses for family and friends as gifts for Christmas. 3 years ago my husbands work asked if I could make a few for their executives gifts, think it was about 12, 2 years ago they put an order in for about 50 of them . I was paid well but my husband couldn't understand why I refused to make any last year. Took the fun right out of it.
