Default Is Hell a Hot or a Cold Place?

from: Greetings, and: Is Hell a hot or a cold place?

Is Hell a hot or a cold place?

The following is claimed to be a real question from a chemistry test at the University of Washington. The answer from one of the students was so "deep", his professor shared it with colleagues on the Net:

"
Bonus question:

Is Hell exothermic (radiates heat) or endothermic (absorbes heat)?

Most students were referencing Boyle's law (Gas is cooled when it expands and heated when compressed) - or variations of the same.

However, one of the students wrote:

First, you have to know how the mass of Hell changes over time: You need to know how many and how fast souls are arriving in Hell, and how many and how fast they are leaving Hell. In my opinion, it is safe to say that once you're there, you won't be let out again. So, no soul will ever leave Hell.

When calculating the number of souls arriving in Hell, you have to take a look at the different religions in the world: Most religions declare that if you are not a believer in that particular religion, you will go to Hell. Since there are more than one religion, and most people only pick one religion for themselves (at any given time), it follows that everyone is going to Hell.

Given today's birthrate and subsequent death rate, the number of souls arriving in Hell is drastically increasing. So, you need to calculate the change of Hell's volume. Boyle's law states that in order to avoid temerature increase, the volume of Hell must increase proportionally when new souls arrive. This leaves us with two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a lower rate than incoming souls, temperature will increase until Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding faster than the incoming soul rate, Hell will freeze over.

So, which of these two options is correct?

If we accept the statement given to me by young Teresa during my first year at the University, where she stated: "Hell will freeze over before I go to bed with you", and we include the fact that young Teresa went to bed with me last night, then option no.2 must be true, and we can therefore conclude that Hell is exothermic, and is already frozen (ref young Teresa's statement).

The consequence of this theory is, that since Hell is a frozen place, it will not accept any more souls, and Hell has therefore ceased to exist. We are left with only Heaven, which again proves the existence of a divine being. Which in turn explains why young Teresa last night repeatedly shouted: "Oh, my God!"
"

Perhaps needless to say: This student got the highest grade in his class.

That is awesome.

Surely the inhabitants of hell have created air conditioning by now? After all, it's the creative, explorative people who always go there.
