Does heaven exist? is the question i ask. Is the really a better place for us all? A place where there's no pain, where there's no hate and a place where joy is order of the day, a place where the is no poverty, a place where everyone is equal and a place where nobody suffers from sickness, a place where no one is judged by what they are wearing or what they own, a place where the are no evil entities, a place where you eat, drink and sleep LOVE? Does this place exist? Well i hope this place exists, infect I know it exists because God says so through the bible and i believe him. Heaven exists for earth is not the place where God wants us to live forever. I think after we live our lives here on earth we move on to the spiritual world and live the, until God's time comes for him to destroy the earth and take us to the promised land, But not everyone will enter the promised land as God says only souls that followed jesus christ while on earth will enter as they are the ones who represent the greater Good.

The Internet seems to have released a personal development pandemic that is sweeping cyberspace.

But back in the day, back in the 80's, 70's, 60's, 50's, and even before that...what did people do for personal development? Were there gurus teaching time management techniques? Did you have to luck out and find the right book or the right mentor to get ahead in life? Was society more rigid than it is now...and personal development didn't really exist?

I've had this question on my mind for a long time, because it seems like we're sitting on a golden opportunity that no generation has ever had before, namely, the ability to invest in ourselves in order to generate intellectual, social, financial, and spiritual wealth.

hi, to everyone.

I`m wondering..and i`m sure you will contribute with your opinion since you all are the reality that i`ve built for myself...

is deja-vu a proof of my subjective reality? I mean...things happen in a certain way because i want to, that is the reality that i`ve created, and sometimes i`am able to see it happening beforehand?

Looking forward to your input. :)
You will have a nice day.

Hi, i am new here, and nice to meet you.
I have some questions of my everyman sleep schedule. Some days ago, i decided to go on the everyman sleep schedule, my schedule is core sleep from 23:00 to 2:00 and the first nap at 5:30 the second on at 12:30 the third one at 18:30. this is the best schedule i can do because i am a student in china. my first day was perfect everything went well. i managed to get up at 2:00. then the second day, everything was good, but at 21:30 i felt a bit tired. and then i took a shower and feel better. at 23:00 i went to bed and turned on the alarm clock which was set at 2:00. the next day when i woke up it was almost 6:30, i even didn't hear the alarm clock. nothing could be more terrible. then i began my third day, everything was ok and i didn't feel tired until i went to bed. this time i got up at 2:00, how excited. then the fourth day i couldn't get up on time. …… i don't know why. maybe i haven't got used to it. but it has been more than 2 weeks since i began this schedule. or maybe there is a bug in my schedule. i am looking forward to your answers, thank you very much!

Steve Pavlina Community Wiki (idea)

Just throwing this out there for feedback.

An idea I had a while ago was for a Steve Pavlina community wiki. It's basically a wiki where members of the community can go and create a mutual web site together. It's very easy to edit and use, just like this forum. We can post information about ourselves, each other, memorable threads, etc. There is no central moderator -- everyone can see what everyone else did and everyone moderates each other. The only thing admin(s) do is activate or deactivate accounts. Only members of the forum could have an account for the wiki.

If a certain member continually causes havoc, then their wiki account is removed. This may sound like a recipe for disaster, but it actually worked out wonderfully for an old video game community I was a part of years ago when I was a teenager. Even though some members didn't get along, everyone in our community more or less respected the wiki information and didn't mess with it. It was a great experiment for the leadership concept of "power WITH instead of power OVER", which is something I was reading about in Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch at the time. It helped a lot of members grow closer, work together, and preserve interesting and funny (to us) things that may had been forgotten with time. Many of these members I'm still friends with.

I think this could be a useful resource. We can link to forum threads that contain key information and collaborate on brand new pages about all sorts of topics. We could combine our knowledge on shared articles.

If anyone would like to see an example, please PM me and I'll send you a link to the old wiki I mentioned. I'd prefer this link to not be shared publicly, hence the PM. :)

Let me know what you think. I asked Steve about this first and he suggested I ask everyone what they think.

Edit: I just saw now that a member named Keith pitched a similar idea back in 2008. There was some concern about the amount of time needed for moderating it. That's a valid concern and something to consider, but I'd like to note that my experience doing it with a bunch of video game playing teenagers was very good, lol. :D

Steve, Curious...Stay at Home Mom

I've been thinking for a while, I guess since you posted about your first CGW. I was thinking about attending, actually I would love to attend but my finances just won't allow it right now, or I won't spend that much just right now. I understand what you say about even a teenager can earn a few hundred bucks for a shiny new bike. My situation is I *could* save up $500 but really my heart would tell me I should use that money to pay off our little bit of debt or put my daughter in ballet. Anyway that is not really the intention of my post, really I think you could charge much more for your workshop. My real question is one about what you think of someone in my position...I am a stay at home mom by choice in fact I make a lot of sacrifices to stay at home with them, at least for the first few years of their life.

Is it impossible for me to be really "conscious" while not earning any money? That this really is what I am concentrating most of my time on? I see when you say that anyone who cannot afford your work shop or DVD’s probably would not benefit from the workshop or DVD’s. Is that true for someone in my case?

I am fully relying on my fiancé for our financial status and let me tell you, if it were me in charge we would be much better off. He is doing the best he can but I think he was raised with a lack mindset, me with the abundance (to an extent). Let me also add that I am not completely sitting idly by, I do have a great business idea in mind and have taken a few small steps to make it a reality but I am not really willing to spend too much of my time on it as I want to spend most of my kids toddler years with them.

Thank you and anyone else for any input!

Steve, I was just rereading your post on polarity, when I was struck with a thought. Do you think it is possible that the whole universe moves in this way? For example, big bang- stuff starts expanding. Astro physicists predict that at some point the universe will start contracting. Is it possible that the universe puts energy out there, then pulls energy back in, expand and contract etc? I don't know if you've thought about this or not, but I'd love to hear your thoughts.

In one of your first blog entries, you are talking about The Journal when you say

Did you answer this question in your journal back then? Could you look back and tell us what you wrote then? It would be neat to compare what your aspirations were back then versus what the realities are now.

Benefits of Steve's Separation / Divorce

With all the negative comments and drama in the other thread, I wanted to create a separate thread to discuss something else related to Steve's separation/divorce - if he'd be willing to go into it.

I'm curious if you experience any of the perceived "benefits" of separating / divorce that some of us married men fantasize about from time to time - and I'm not referring to anything sexual here.

For example I'm interested to know if you find yourself having more time or at least more time/schedule freedom being "single" now. Meaning, most guys I know who are married and/or have kids have to schedule their business around their marriage/kids schedules. For example, they can't just work on a project all day and all night long (with sleep and food breaks) when they're inspired to do so. Usually there are certain "norms" you agree to when married such as dinner time being at a certain time, spending time together during evenings etc.

With kids there's getting them ready to go to school or daycare, picking them up, dinner etc. As a single guy, not married, no kids, you have no such responsibilities and you could technically work on stuff or travel without really too much worry about stuff like that.

I'm curious if you find yourself having more free time for "doing stuff" now, or has the void just been filled with something else?

Another thing I'm curious about is single energy for manifesting. Do you find it easier to manifest stuff now that you're single? For example, lets say that before you wanted to manifest an opportunity to meet someone (Let's say Deepak Chopra for example) and you saw that he was going to be in New York so you wanted to manifest a trip to New York.

However, unconsciously Erin may have had counter-intentions maybe not wanting you to travel to New York right now for whatever reason. Now that you're "single" do you find it easier to manifest things?

I ask because I have often found that whenever I try to manifest something that involves other people, sometimes I'm "clear" on the intention and I want it to manifest but unconsciously the other person may be "blocking" it. So I'm curious if you find it easier now that Erin is not really part of your daily life.

This is nothing against Erin, or anything like that, I'm just mainly talking about the fact that no matter what - each human being has their own ideas, dreams and visions and when you're married the things you tend to manifest are kind of a shared/compromise version of both people's visions. If for example you wanted a house with a 3 car garage, and Erin wanted one with a small 1 car garage, previously maybe you manifested a house with a 2 car garage.

Do you now find yourself manifesting things faster, quicker, easier?

(I realize it hasn't been that long, I'm mainly asking for the future)

According to Dr. DeMartini, everything is always in balance. His theory states that technically things will be no easier and no harder than before. Any challenges or support that Erin and/or the kids may have brought to Steve's life will still be there in the exact same quantity, just in different form.

For example, for every hour Steve may have "extra" now which was previously spent doing stuff with Erin or the kids, may now be taken up by extra house-work type stuff (groceries, preparing meals etc.) that may have been done by Erin before - not to be stereotypical, I'm just giving an example as I have no idea what arrangement Steve/Erin had before for stuff like this.

I'm curious to hear from you Steve what your experiences are now that you're doing stuff by yourself. Especially in these areas:

- Do you find yourself having more time/energy to put towards your projects?
- Do you find it easier to manage your finances?
- Is it easier to do more "exotic" trials, such as eating raw or polyphasic sleep or whatever, now that you don't have to worry about other people being affected by your trials as much?
- Do you find yourself reaching out to friends, family and other "relationships" more as a way to connect with people, in response to not having Erin there at home with you?
- Do you find it easier to keep your house clean / organized without the kids there?

Just stuff like that. I'm curious what differences you experience.
