How to Meet your Higher Self (Blog)

Thanks! I chatted with her most of the day today - but sometimes it feels like I am just asking questions to myself - anyway, I saw 3 more ads with meaningful messages such as - live your future in the present, true friendship means support and things like that - and the ads I saw yesterday are all over Bucharest even though I assume they would have been there regardless of my attempts at psychic communication... I also found myself driving behind a white car that had a printed message saying 'everything connects'.

However, the more I think about the fact that I am not just this person trapped in this tiny body, and that I have a higher self, it makes me feel strange about being here at all. I wonder why should my HS come and talk to me down here, when I could go back up there and end the story. I wish my HS could tell me more profound things, such as why am I here in this clumsy and unordered world, instead of remaining a beautiful spirit in the ether.

Give her time and she probably will. My connection wiht my HS has really deepened over the years.

I'm going to give you my perspective on this.

It is my understanding all peoples higher selves are equally ascended. In truth, you have multiple "higher selves", each being slightly more expanded or cognizant than the last. That is to say, you have many future "yous".

However the portion of the higher self that aids in our 3-dimensional evolution is what we might term a sixth density manifestation of our self that is offering itself as a guiding resource to its past self, before turning towards the infinity of the all (seventh density is union with the creator). It guides when asked, protects when possible, and never manipulates its past self.

All (6th density) higher selves are positive, or expansive as opposed to being contractile (negative). Even Hitler had a positive sixth density manifestation of his self. But the negative path is one of separation, and what is the first separation if not the division of self from self?

At first this seems to point towards determination, after all, if our future self already exists, doesn't this imply everything is predestined? Not quite.

The fact is, we all return to the source. The destination is known, but there are many probable paths to this destination. The higher self is an amalgamation of all these probable paths that ultimately result in one conclusion.

how can we distinguish imagination from HS? especially if we do not KNOW the difference?

The thing I don't get is that when I meditate and get to a relaxing state, its hard for me to imagine seen my higher self. Am I, supposed to make my higher self as an energy and to let it transform on its own? What if your imagination is not very vivid, mine is not very clear but I'm working on it.

For some people visualizing is very difficult. Perhaps your primary modality is hearing or feeling. In which case, it coudl be difficult to see your HS. Try just hearing. Imagine you're picking up a phone and listen. Or just listen, no phone.

I have tried that--I have also tried visualizing--and I have tried feeling--I think i can do all three--its just distinguishing between my imagination and reality is the difficult part. Any suggestions?

What I feel is that I have a strong connection to my HS but the communication is not done through words (or any other means, for that matter). I just think about how to solve a problem and suddenly I get the realization that I know the answer and that answer comes as a wonderful realization, an unexpected solution - but I am not very surprised to find that I possess this answer. It's as if the answer is suddenly a part of me, however surprising and wonderful it is.

But then I wonder, what's the difference between figuring things out on my own versus receiving help from my HS ? I mean, if I am receiving help - that can only be true if I admit that I couldn't have figured it out on my own, otherwise who is to determine weather my HS helped me or not ? Maybe every thought that comes to my mind comes ultimately from my HS ? It's pretty confusing...
