Great article, Erin. Thank you.

However, this last bit caught my attention:
Quote:
One thing for sure, they are no longer suffering physically from whatever caused their deaths. Emotionally, yes, but not physically.
You are saying that dead people are suffering emotionally? Aren't emotions chemically induced via the brain? And I always thought that people who have passed on find peace where they go. Can you explain your statement further?

Yes, I ran out of time yesterday while posting and probably should have left that part out. I've noticed a few things. When a spirit commits suicide I often find them on the other side to be suffering from anguish, guilt, and shame. This is corrected eventually. Long story, I will blog about it so others can benefit.

And I also notice that if there is unfinished business or urgent business that a spirit will still have what comes across as emotional attachment to a certain outcome.

most spirits cross over very peacefully though.

Oh, and if a person was raised to believe a certain thing happens after death and it doesn't happen then there is confusion and there is a delay in their crossing over as they open up and accept that it isn't what they expected.

Hi Erin, I found it really interesting to read that you don't see spirits physically and that it took you a long time to realise that the images in your head were actually spirits. (I recently also realised that some of the images in my head could be real people - and when I am in the presence of a spirit, the sides of my head tingle like crazy - does this happen to anyone else?)

I also wonder why some spirits appear as images in your head and some as apparitions. Do you think it could be related to how receptive the person is?

Have you ever seen a spirit in the form of an apparition or a conventional ghost, in a reading or just in general?

I've seen a lot of things in a lot of different forms in a lot of different states. But as of late, I have not seen anything that I would say is intersecting the physical plane. What I see tends to be me moving my energy into phase with a higher plane and intersecting with them there.

I also think it depends on the perceiver as to how they will see the energy. What to you may look like an apparition might to me look like a solid person.

This may seem basic, but I would really be grateful if someone would define the term "ether". Where is it? What is it comprised of? How could I recognize it?

People may define the ether a little differently, but to me it is the "place" we are at when we are not incarnated into our physical bodies. It is where we are reconnected with our higher self and Source. Heaven, but without the Christian mythology that goes with it. it's where you came from before you got here and where you will go when you slough off this mortal coil.

Smile Thanks

Erin,

Thanks for the post, it was very insightful. For me, the takeaway was how you perceive them
>I don’t see deceased people with my eyeballs. I see them as mental projections; kind of like having a waking dream.

Also, it might be worthwhile if you can elaborate on how you tested what you saw.
> It took me a while to realize that the images in my head were real people, which is something I never would have realized unless I’d had the courage to test what I was seeing.

HI Adestiny, I have discussed a lot of my encounters with deceased people in my blog entries. But I'll give you a quick example.

A woman told me she wanted to connect with someone in particular in the ether. She didn't tell me if it was male or female, young or old, friend or relative, etc. So I simply opened myself up to receive and asked if there was anyone out there who wanted to speak with this woman. A man came through. he was wearing a black suit and a black hat which he "tipped" to her as an acknowledgement. I described the features to her, told her he was tipping his hat to her, and told her some things about him like how funny he was, that he was a friend not a relative, and there were one or two specific phrases he gave me to use with her. She was overcome and told me that is exactly who she was trying to reach. And she confirmed that in this day and age he always wore a black hat and tipped it in greeting to people that he would meet.

In another case, I saw an older man with a black cane that had a silver ornament on top. He told me his name and told me he was the grandfather of the guy I was reading. He then told me a bunch of stuff about his daughter-in-law, which was the mother of the person I was reading. The news was all about cancer and how the doctors had missed some in her stomach. She, unfortunately, died just a few months afterward of pancreatic cancer.

Spirits use different ways of showing themselves to me. Sometimes it's just very literal and sometimes it's like playing charades and I have to figure out why they have no head or why they are pointing to their skin or what not. I love connecting with the deceased. It's an experience unlike anything you can imagine.
