If this is the case, and one could see all possible lives simultaneously, wouldn't this mean that future events were all rigidly predestined, that what will happen has already been completely defined and determined because the future has also "already happened" from this perspective? Yet, our experience of physical reality seems to contradict that. What's going on? Also, if time is not linear, then what does "living all your lives (current, past, and future) at the same time" even mean? What is "at the same time" in this context?

Erin, is any of the knowledge from a previous lifetime carried over into the next?? For example, lets say I practice Law of Attraction in this lifetime, will I then more open to learning about it and adopting LOA in my next lifetime?? Or is there no such guarantee?? |

Very interesting article, Erin. I've wondered, is there any way we could remember who we were in our past lives? Perhaps through contact with our higher selves? Even if it's just a vague remembrance...is this possible?

we are currently living in a density where time does appear to exist so tryign to fathom what it means to have all our lives lived at the same time is difficult. That's why I'm saying to concentrate on this one because this is where your consciousness is.

| Yes absolutely you can remember some of your past lives. I have recalled several of mine with great clarity and certainty. I've got an article about it somewhere that I wrote years ago. do a search on my blog for Past Lives and see what you find.

Thanks for the info. I'm still confused. What if I have "future life" 1000 years from now where I have all sorts of decisions and experiences, but 200 years from now, someone else has a "future life" and one of their decisions involves something that kills all the ancestors of my future life, or blows up the country my future life was lived in? It sounds like we are just not mentally equipped to understand this stuff while we are stuck in linear time. I agree with you that we should focus on our current lives; too much obsessing over what we've done in past lives always seemed to me to be a distraction from the here and now. Quote:

Frisky, I don't believe in twin souls. Or soulmates. But there are strong connections and contracts. Also, to answer your question Some of your consciousness is carried through as well. |

Also if I re-incarnate, do I come back looking similar, or totally different?? And I'm male, does that mean my re-incarnations will always be male?? I'd hate to come back as a woman. Dont get me wrong, I love women but thats the whole thing, I love LOVING women if you know what I mean

it reminds me of the story about shiva and shakti - where shiva is going insane because he's tired of reincarnating for all infinity - he stops eating and starts wishing he wont have to reincarnate anymore - and in the story they say "a terrible fire grows in him and almost destroys the entire universe" but then he meets his shakti and falls in love and wants to keep living - i've also read the reverse story also where it's about kali going loco instead of shiva - anyway if u think about it - ultimately we all add up to one consciousness - so that's a universe that is one eternal consciousness in infinite solitary cofinement - so then there's this nifty "physical" creation with ego - where if ego gets out of control in either direction (either too big or too small) it ruins everthing - but when it's in balance we have soul mates and friends and companionship and we can be one and many at the same time - anyway this is my current understanding of reality - and i know it sounds a little bit morbid - but for me i try to understand where my existential angst might be coming from - and that helps me forgive myself for the times i throw temper tantrums - helps me get out of them faster too - anyway speaking of multiples i love this forum so glad to join!!!! but with all the stories about twin flame type situations from india - for me im still curious if there are twin flames - but i like the idea that there are so many people who we can have awesome levels of understanding with/and even romantic possibilities - that's easier than thinking oh i have to find my twin flame in every incarnation (i have had that problem myself at least in this incarnation so good to see another option) ! |

| With all due respect, I have read books which said the exact opposite. That your re-incarnates are a virtual copy of yourself. My (flimsy) evidence: ![]() ![]() Not trying to argue with you though, you probably know more then me. I'm still new at all this stuff |

| In my experience doing past life and Akashic Record readings for people, most of us have one gender that we favour over the other in our incarnations. So we may have had 65 or 70% of our incarnations as a female, or as a male. Then as we evolve further and further, we begin to incarnate as both female and male without favouring one gender over the other.
