How to answer specific questions for a reading.

Hi Erin!

So I've had a little bit of difficulty with some of the questions I answer. Many times, actually a large percentage of the time, the questions I'm asked are along the lines of, "who is my soulmate, what will this person look like, dress like, where will I meet them?" Etc., etc., etc.

Now I've done my best to answer these questions and try to explain that what I see may be symbolic or metaphorical, etc., but many times the entire question is regarding something like this and the only answers the person wants are these specific things, so I feel like I'm really disappointing them if I just cannot answer them.

There are times when I'll see someone's face, a hair color, etc., but I never know if this IS that person or what. I see people like that all the time, so there is no telling.

How do you handle something like that without really letting the person down, especially when you're answering for a blog like I am where you're not exactly giving an indepth personal reading with the opportunity to explain the way things work.

I try to remember it's no big deal, that I'm giving what I get and that's that, but at the same time this is practice and learning for me and sometimes when I can't get this information relayed in a way that I feel they'll be happy with it, I basically feel like a big fat failure. LOL.

When people ask questions like that, they are demonstrating that they don't understand how psychic abilities work. When it happens to me, I educate my client. If there is a specific person that the guides are trying to bring my client, I can describe some physical details like height, build, hair color. But most of the time, since there is no one person for us, the guides will answer with advice on how to become a vibrational match for a relationship.

So first I look to see if the client is a vibrational match for any relationship, then the guides tell me whether they are nudging someone in her direction or if there is a situation that needs correcting first. In that case I explain to the client what she needs to do to get ready for the relationship.

I would say to educate your clients. if they are disappointed with the truth, that's something they need to deal with.

If I were doing readings where I was able to really interact with the client one on one in a personal way, I would definitely try to educate them. I do the best I can now, but I'm not sure if it adequately explains how things work. Most of the time, it just looks like I'm telling them that I can't get the information you wanted, but I did get this ______ and I believe this message is to help you in your endeavors or to grow in order to be in a healthy relationship, etc.

Hopefully that's enough for certain people during those times. I do get images of people sometimes, and I'll give that description and tell them to keep an eye out for that person just in case that person is intended for them in some way. I'm always so afraid that I'm wrong about those things, though. I hate to think I'm steering someone in the wrong direction, so I always feel a little uncomfortable giving information on a specific partner.

It's really funny it works that way, though, because I don't feel uncomfortable giving out information about things that could help with career or finances, which could potentially be much more damaging than finding the wrong partner.

Hmmm...I think I need to come to your workshop! LOL! My husband expressed wanting to go to Las Vegas next year sometime for a vacation. I might have to plan it around one of your classes.

Oh, one thing that I wanted to add here that bothers me about trying to answer these specific questions is that sometimes the answers that I get feel generic because many times they are very similar for these love-oriented questions. I try to be as specific as possible, but many times I feel like I'm giving out horoscope answers or something.
