Chat room

There isn't a chat room on this site is there? Was just wondering if a chat room on this site would be a good idea for us to bond more with other members whilst sharing spiritual experiences together? I'm sure the idea's been brought up before, but if it hasn't, well here it is

If there were a chat room on this site, people would waste away into oblivion even more than they do now sitting on this forum thinking about personal development instead of living their lives. This is not a major criticism of people, just an observation.

Chat rooms have an addictive quality (I speak from past experience) and it would probably do more harm than good in my humble opinion, but maybe other people disagree, and I'd be interested in hearing their thoughts.

I think the chat room was up a year or so ago , and I tried it once , but no one was on it. There are lots of chat rooms , you can do a web search . desert rat

I don't think that is a criticism of a chat room per se, but of the internet generally. If it's not a chat room, then it's Facebook, if not Facebook, then Youtube etc -- there's no denying that the internet plays a vital role in our lives nowadays.

I think there are people that will sit there all day doing nothing but chatting, but there are also those that have other things to do with their lives. I think that this forum is helping me very much in living my life and helping me develop more as a person so I can handle life with a bit more grace.
