I was hoping for a skip forward in spiritual development as I feel a great deal of conflict in life between spirituality and materialism. The crux of my reading was focused on my purpose in life and all I was told was I'm doing good and I'll be on track in my 30's. Kinda vague at best.

Other things that stand out - I have a lot of compassion (my friends would beg to differ ), I'm doing okay, my higher self is a very strong female, ummm... that's all that stands out.

It does seem like other people have these incredibly revealing experiences that open their eyes to their purpose in life and help them in their development and my fate is to struggle for everything the hard way.

I had a phone reading from Erin.

The number one question I had was about my relationship - and before I even asked it, she commented on it. And it reduced me to a crying sniveling heap. I almost could not reply. What she said was a good kick in the butt that I totally needed to stop acting like a crazy person.

The 2nd question I had was about career. I have a good career, make decent money, but I feel empty. In having money, I've learned that the pursuit of it will not give me happiness. The new career vision she had for me, was something so unimaginable to me, something that I never would have even thought of... yet it was so me, it resonated with who I am, who I wanted to be, and hit me to my very core.

That said, I now know my purpose, and it is totally in alignment with who I am, who I knew myself to to be all along. It was like in an instant I recognized all the signs in my life but just did not heed because I was too scared to be who I was.

One of the things that gives me great sadness, she actually said the very words I, myself, have said. And she did this almost as a casual aside comment. But it really rang loudly for me and I felt like jumping. This is how I know Erin is for real. I said, "my career" and she launches into this whole vision. I said, "my husband" and I am a crying helpless heap of tears.

I totally recommend a reading from Erin. Her vision and advice came through very clear for me - which I attributed to performing all the steps that she listed in raising your vibration (she has a blog entry for it).

One of the things that helped me a lot is to express gratitude for my life - even the sad and painful parts, the shameful parts, the parts I wanted no one to know - for they served as a purpose to teach me something. If your gratitude makes you cry and shake and lose it emotionally, I think it helps you find clarity. Like the calm after the storm. It did for me.
