Funny, I was just reading up on population growth and sustainability this week.

Its ironic the same technologies that give us the ability to leave our home planet also granted us the capacity destroy it.

From Wikipedia,

Pimentel and Nielsen, working independently, found that the human population has passed the numerical point where all can live in comfort, and that we have entered a stage where many of the world's citizens and future generations are trapped in misery [2]. There is evidence that a catastrophe is underway as of at least the 1990s; for example, by the year 2000, children in developing countries were dying at the rate of approximately 11,000,000 per annum from strictly preventable diseases. [1] [2] This data suggests that by the standard of misery, the catastrophe is underway. Regarding famines, data demonstrates the world's food production has peaked in some of the very regions where food is needed the most. For example in South Asia, approximately half of the land has been degraded such that it no longer has the capacity for food production. [2] In China there has been a 27% irreversible loss of land for agriculture, and continues to lose arable land at the rate of 2,500 square kilometres per year. [3] In Madagascar, at least 30% of the land previously regarded as arable is irreversibly barren. On the other hand, recent data shows the number of overweight people in the world now outnumbers the number of malnourished, and the rising tide of obesity continues to expand in both rich and poor countries.[4]

Sorry, I know this isn't a real upbeat post. Population growth is a rough issue.

So which is the most exiting place for soul, ether or earth?
Does the soul have to get some eligibility to incarnate or vice-versa?
Who is managing all the process?

It is funny that you ask this. While I don't consider myself psychic, I do have a feeling/memory surrounding my incarnation:

I remember wanting wanting wanting so so so so so so so much to get the chance to incarnate for a long time, and I remember my complete joy and excitement at being told it that I could.

For this reason I believe coming to earth is a pretty special thing.

Exciting is a matter of perspective. But if you're on Earth now, you chose to be here.

I wouldn't say eligibility per se, more like your higher self and some other beings determine when would be a good time, and have to work a little to line things up for you. You may pick out your parents only to find they suddenly decide to use birth control. so you have to wait until they "forget"

Who manages the process.... your higher self is definitely involved. And there are other beings whose job it is to help work people into the tapestry. I don't know who they are by name, but they are uniquely qualified to work this sort of thing out.

The best explaination for this I read/infered from Far Journeys by Robert Monroe. Once souls from different planets get inticed to come here, they can't really stop incarnating here until they've accomplished the yearning to complete whatever they have to complete here and experience it all.

There are a lot of souls in the universe that have never experienced physical existance. Just like my Grandma saying there is no such thing as ghosts. Some nonphysical beings would believe 100% that there is no such thing as a physical being. So when they here about it, they want to experience it too. Foreign things interest everybody.

Hi, Erin. In another thread somewhere around here that I know I read but which I can't find now, you talked about doing a blog entry on how (and why?) people choose the parents they did.

As someone who has parents so toxic I changed my name, moved to the opposite side of the planet, and changed my nationality, I have long struggled with this concept. I've gotten to the point where I have forgiven them and cut all emotional/spiritual bonds to them, I'm pretty sure, but that's another topic, actually.

On some level, I do know and believe that the lessons I learned as a result of my childhood and the subsequent difficulties I had were worth learning, but I still struggle with the idea that I looked at that pair of dysfunctional, toxic people and went, "Yeah, okay, I'll have them and the abuse that will go along with them..."

So you don't have to answer in this thread, certainly, and I'm not asking for justification or anything, but your thoughts and insights would be welcome. If you're interested in doing that blog entry, I'll be happy to read it.

I remember something like that too Michelle.

I seem to recall a lot of other souls jostling around in something not unlike a holding area before I came here. I'm not sure if they were waiting to incarnate in general or if it was for my parents specifically. I think I felt bad for them? I showed up late and I didn't wait long. I knew where I was going, it was my time and that's how it was.

I don't remember any real emotions about the process. I wasn't excited or fearful. It was very straightforward. I was going because that was what was supposed to happen.

I remember a gatekeeper of sorts speaking to me before I went, but I don't remember the conversation. It seems like he was not so happy that I had to go. There was some sort of promise.

Its a weird, vague memory.

Hmm.

I came accross a few possible "reasons" for this (via BBSH lectures & personal discussions)... One that struck a chord is that all humans (& all souled entities - essentially everything!) is part of an "oversoul." (Other ideas being that the soul/re-incarnation does not happen in a linear time path - be reincarnated at multiple times in the same span, future/past, etc...)

So... You have a person with their own spirt... Which is part of a larger divine structure. And... That structure can have more than one enpersonified manifestation.

Some "proof" of this was how people under past-life hypnosis had the same past lives... (Can be taken as evidence depending on what you think of past-life hypnosis experiences.)

So... A "soul mate" could essentially be another piece of you.

I believe everything happening now is a reflection of the greater consciousness. Maybe it's because we're at a relatively low state of consciousness, and this massive influx of souls is meant to get us to a higher consciousness? Or like Erin had said in a blog a while ago... that there's a possible radical change that's going to happen and everyone is trying to get in while they can.

OR....... maybe something fantastic is about to happen on Planet Earth and many, many are trying to get in on the fun!!
