soul walk-in/transfer

how does one deserve a soul transfer? as in.. my soul leaves and another one takes my place and this body keeps going?

is it a matter of 'deserving' or is it simply something you request and voila it happens?

i've heard different stories.. like you have to actually die before the soul can take over.. or that it takes 3 months to take place.. which yeah.. isn't too convenient.

i'm wondering if it could just 'switch' just like that?

I have talked to a number of walk-ins about their experiences (~10). In the classical walk-in situation, the over-soul does the swapping and has complete choice in the matter. The removed soul has no recourse. The installed soul cannot prevent the swap but could in theory kill or severely damage the body forcing additional action by the over-soul.

You as an incarnation can chose to vacate your body but you cannot force the over-soul to send a replacement. WARNING: Leaving your body uninhabited for very long (> few minutes) will cause it to die or become possessed. If this happens you will not be able to return. For all you OBErs (astral travelers) out there, you do not leave your body uninhabited during your journeys.

I have not encountered any situations where the over-soul made a swap and then tried to continue the original purpose for incarnation. Usually swaps happen only at times of great trauma to the physical body where the damage prevents pursuing the purpose of the incarnation. In most situations like this, the over-soul just pulls the plug (you die). If there are obligations to other over-souls (joint projects involving multiple incarnations from different over-souls working together), the over-soul will install a ‘fresh’ soul to only try to honor its obligations.

Transfer is fairly rapid as it must occur before the physical body dies. Also if a body is soul-less for too long, it will get possessed.

Very many people are 'Walk-ins', but I wouldn't say it's a change of the individual in the sense of replacing something, it's more a change in the agenda of the 'Oversoul', like you for example change the doors of the lifetimes that influence this lifetime.

I've been interested in this concept for some time now. I haven't found any definitive answers, nor do I have any clear direct experience to work with, but...

I am not the same person I was once. I remember her well, I actually have access to her memories and her life story is my life story (more or less), but I cannot stress how much I am NOT her.

Which, of course, is why I'm interested in the "walk-in" concept. It sometimes really amazes me that any person can change as drastically and as profoundly as I have (that's part of the meaning behind my username; caterpillar is very different from butterly!). Perhaps it really is possible, and the butterfly really is the caterpillar, and the tree really is the acorn. Clearly there are such examples in nature. It's just rather stunning to behold, and it certainly makes one wonder...

People who keep looking into this direction with the inward urge to do so, will probably find more alien concepts than this one
The problem with information on the Internet is, it's mostly the tip of the iceberg or vague/misleading, there are just few exceptions.

Good luck with your search, you absolutely can find satisfying/validating results, why you or things are a certain way, the truth normally makes you feel good.

That’s a very broad interpretation of the phenomena. The original meaning was a complete replacement of the soul essence. The people I have met are very aware that they were put in a body part way through that body’s lifetime. They have a hard time dealing with being in someone else’s body and life circumstance. The ‘other’ person’s memories are mostly available but do not feel familiar at all. Walk-in souls are not happy about being assigned to clean up someone else’s mess. Across the board they seem to come from recent lifetimes in other places (incarnations) where they successfully completed their purpose (?which may be why the over-soul sends them?). The new purpose is a subset of the original purpose, dumping personal goals and keeping obligations to others.

This is very distinct from people who have a major shift in outlook. They usually refer to the before and after as the ‘old self’ and ‘new self’. If asked directly they will say that the old self is the same person though they usually quickly add “that’s not me anymore”. Changing the direction or changing the influence is not the same as changing the self. It’s kind of like saying your life changes when you have kids. It’s the same you but your priorities have changed along with your outlook. The new purpose is substantially different than the old purpose.

Yes, it's of course feeling like a shift to the individual, many people are on an ascension track who are going through this.
The memory of your lifetime and subconscious is stored in one of your subtle bodies, when you now change a bunch of things from a higher perspective this changes will feel off with what has been previously with your body.

When you for some reason choose to open doors to a reincarnation to the Renaissance where you were a painter and add some from other planets where you lived in nature, you will feel off being an investment banker.
The energies you are getting are really out of sync and you won't feel at home any longer making a living as banker and maybe even your body.
You need a setup to explore themes in your life that you want to explore from a soul perspective.
Your probably wouldn't go around and be homosexual if your soul would tell you it want to have that experience.

It's easy to be upset with an incarnation, more so with sudden changes, but I don't think it's someone jobs cleaning up someone else's mess, this usually interferes free will, you are signing in either way, as also you incarnate many times in groups and have made agreements with family members, a lot of them are karma balancing.
