The world is coming to an end this Saturday May 21st and if that doesn't pan out the back up date is October 21st 2011.

Have you made any plans? I just realized this now so it's business as usual for me. Geeze, I wish I knew earlier - lol.
I'll be off to the cottage on the lake enjoying the first unofficial long weekend of the summer.

Since I really enjoy this forum, I would love to meet up with you again and continue our conversations. I propose we logon and discuss our experience of transition. Let's hope internet is available :-)

What are your plans?

I think it's somehow appropriate that I'm going to a midnight showing of Monty Python that day. I'd like to think that if people are suddenly swept up into the sky they'll break out into a chorus of, "Every Sperm is Sacred" on the way up.

Oh, Monty Python would be perfect. I would be more inclined to sing "Always....look on....... the bright side..... of life".

I'm gonna be busy tomorrow morning laying out shirts, pants and shoes in the shape of a person on random sidewalks all over town.

What is this, like, the 50th Rapture we've had over the past several hundred years? And once again, not a single person will be taken into the sky. God needs to lower his standards a little, it sounds like. "Okay, so not just the perfect people this time...howzabout everybody who's...ahhhh...never killed anyone on purpose? Yeah, that oughtta do it..."

Well, my thinking is with all those people flying toward what will no doubt look like a golden ball from where we stand, it's like a heavenly orgasm and thus the people are the sperm. That's what the rapture is, isn't it? Earth getting its rocks off?

I mean, after the first few times of praying continuously, expecting to be taken off to heaven in droves, surely some of them might actually stop and think "Hmmm..."

I know, right? "Left behind...." muaaahahahhaaaa. Did everybody get beamed up at like midnight last night? I totally knew I was going to get left behind. But my friend has a 6 week old baby that is still here, so I'm not sure what that little child did to get left behind. Bummer for her, original sin!

I really hope they take down those crazy billboards now. Because they're going to start looking like a "don't blame me, I voted for Bush" bumper sticker after today.

I made a joke last night with a friend about this. I said all the lightworkers will be left behind to clean up all the mess THEY left behind lol.

It is very tempting to make fun of these people right now. They sure like making fun of "us", huh? It kind of feels good to have the tables turned, I must admit. But, they believe what they believe...as we believe as we do and making fun of them probably isn't the wisest move we could make here.

So here's how I've been lead to understand what happened today:

Jack got in a fight with Locke while they were in the hatch and failed to push the button, so the world was going to end and some of the people were going to get taken to heaven by the smoke monster. But then Desmond arrived and put the cork back in the heart of the island, so now everything's okay. Is this right?

My dad used to listen to this guy on the local radio station before the preacher started predicting the end of the world. Even then, he says there was something off about him, but it was almost imperceptible. Not so anymore.

My theory is that it occurred but only a subset of a subset of people held the specific beliefs necessary to be taken up and the total number was 3.

A friend of mine wanted to set empty clothes around town during the night just to see people's reactions. A shame he didn't have access to the resources he'd need to pull it off.
