Congrats on your ebook release Erin! The cover looks great and the bonus features are a good addition.

I'd love to see you put this and future ebook releases up for sale on at least Amazon.com for the Kindle e-reader and barnesandnoble.com for the Nook. That's a whole new market that could be opened up for you - people who don't necessarily read your blog but would find you through your ebooks.

Not sure about Nook, but Amazon makes it pretty easy for the Kindle; there's a guide here: https://kdp.amazon.com/self-publishing/signin

Here's how to do it for the Barnes & Noble Nook e-reader. I haven't done it myself, so can't offer true advice...but it looks fairly easy. Good luck!

The additional cost of providing material in these different formats is very small. I can see a husband buying the Kindle version, the wife buying the hard copy version whether hardcover or soft cover and reaching people by way of the learning style that is best suited for the client.

The actual printed book whether softcover or hardcover is print on demand, thus there is no cost of inventory not yet sold. I have been.a client since Amazon first introduced creates space and publish on demand.

as an author and copyright owner you set the purchase price for your book, video, or audio. Amazon retains a percentage of sales as they would on a book printed the traditional way to make their money.

I have some tips for those who are interested in using create space. Rule one by your own ISBN number for each and every product. Amazon will provide an ISBN but it will only point to the Amazon published version of your product. If you provide Amazon with everything including the ISBN number every vendor and wholesaler in the bookselling universe will find your book using the same ISBN number.

Hardcover books and softcover books require different ISBN numbers. It is also my understanding that revisions to books also require a different ISBN number. There are agencies which will allow you to buy ISBN numbers one at a time. An author pays a premium to buy one at a time. If an author is sure or even suspects that publishing is going to be a significant part of their income by a block of ISBN numbers you may fill in the title the author and all the pertinent information at a later date. The ISBN numbers do not expire for lack of use. I would recommend purchasing a minimum of 100 ISBN numbers in a block if you are going to use publishing as a serious source of income.

Sometimes you can buy more numbers and pay less per number. If you have friends who only want to publish that one great book or the three book trilogy it is legal and can even be profitable to buy a house and ISBN numbers rather than numbers.

You can do a favor for a friend and cell phone number for the cost you paid for it. You can sell one ISBN number or every ISBN number you own legally. Perhaps you would charge two times the cost or three times the cost of acquiring an ISBN number from one of the many places who make a very high profit from selling just one ISBN number.

You may also have an agreement with your client where the book is registered to the current owner of the book or other information. When somebody does a Google search on designs by gene, and discovers 280 books from different authors it changes the perception. From auditors and other newbie who thinks he can write a book to here is the publishing house with 280 books currently in the catalog.

I suspect a publishing house would devote more attention to your evaluating book that is part of a business which has 280 books currently in its catalog offered for sale.
