I enjoy using tarot cards for intuition now and then when I use them "outside the box". The categories are just a starting point; once you start using the images in abstract ways and find interesting connections, then the spread itself can become more meaningful. Crowley's Thoth deck is popular because of its intricate, abstract images. I'm pretty happy with my Robin Wood deck, though. It's helped me gain a better connection with synchronicity and my higher selves just by helping the process along. Eventually, though, I stopped using it so often once I realized I could find more direct avenues to inner understanding. They're good training wheels, though, for anyone who wants to become more intuitive. |

I only use decks that are messages from higher vibration beings. Hm, I don't meditate first, though. The very funny things is: out of about 44 cards, I pull the same one again and again. It's been at least 3 months that each time I look for a message I have that same card. I don't know what to do of it though, so that is where a psychic help comes in handy, I think. I'm seeing someone soon for a "session" and I wrote this down because I need to know why on earth do I keep getting this "advice".

I'm making my own deck following the Artist Trading Card format (2.5 x 3.5) with images collaged onto a piece of bristol board. It's not a "conventional" deck; the process is somewhat intuitive/spontaneous and the symbols may follow conventional tarot to some degree but are specific to me. I don't know that I would ever legally be able to publish my deck because it uses magazine clippings and found objects. But it's a meaningful deck *to me*. Hopefully if I do decide to publish it, I'll have altered the images beyond recognition. |
