Default Lucid Dreaming Burnout

Since my last post I've kept trying to have lucid dreams. I've managed to have a few but most of them were very fleeting.

There was one that was technically the best LD I've had because I managed to scrap the current dream and bring in a new dreamscape (a forest). The fact that I became lucid during a nightmare may have helped!

On a side note I think practicing this stuff can take the edge off normal nightmares. I think sometimes even when I'm not lucid I've managed to stop them getting worse.

Anyway I'm not getting the kind of results I was expecting from spending this amount of time doing it. I feel low on energy, which may be a seasonal thing I'm not quite sure.

I wonder if it is better to take a break from trying for a while rather than slogging on.

Well, just wanted to share that with you. Sweet Dreams.

Well, you can probably guess what I'm going to say, I had a lucid dream this morning.

It's almost like because I relaxed and stopped "trying" I managed to get it to work. Much like exercising a muscle, the muscle needs time to rebuild after a gruelling workout.

Can't say if this will continue or not.

You may be wondering if I suspected this would happen all along. Well, probably but this mornings LD did come as quite a surprise!

If you are spiritually oriented in some way, you can call for support.

Works fantastically for me!

Thanks for the replies. Although I had a couple of lucid dreams right after giving up I have now gone back to what may be considered a normal dream experiance.

It seems a shame to just leave it behind when I was making some progress so I have decide to try again and start recording and reminding myself again.

Hopefully I will have a new lucid dream soon.

It would be nice one day to actually get an astral projection experience but that might be years off.

Look, this sounds as though you treat it as work. Treat it as a wonderful experience, and don't try to force anything. Relax.
