Football Jersey Spirit - Question for Erin

Today I was listening to some podcasts on Steve’s blog and came across the one you did together “Being Psychic”. I almost fell out of my chair as I was listening to you tell the story about the ghost that was in your brothers room, the man/kid in the football jersey that you could only see half of. I’ve seen him!! It was a very long time ago, maybe 15 years or more. I was just a child. I hadn’t actively remembered that experience for a very long time until I heard those words come out of your mouth. It all flashed back and I could seem him just like the day he hovered there in my doorway (never came all the way in the room). I’m not even sure I told anyone about that and considering how young I was (about 15ish I’m thinking) I pretty much just thought I was making it up in my own head.

Anyway, I’m rambling because I’m totally flabbergasted right now!! Do you know any more about who that was or why I might have seen him? I’ve just recently revitalized my personal spiritual quest and feel like I’m taking two steps forward and two steps back all the time. I’m not sure this specific instance is going to make much difference in the long run, but it has seriously peaked my curiosity.

explain more about what happened to you. were you awake or asleep? did it try to talk to you? etc.

I was awake and in my room and I was lying in bed, it was probably early evening, dark but not late. I'm not totally sure of the exact circumstances, if I was thinking or going through anything unusual or not. I remember looking up to the doorway because I thought my mom or someone was coming and I saw him floating there. But it was just the top half, in the white football jersey with Red numbers, in the upper part of the doorway, like if he had legs going all the say down we would have been very tall, 7 feet or so. He didn't try to say anything and didn't even progress into the room but stayed there for a little while and we "locked eyes". I remember being kind of freaked out, but not really scared. Like I said I thought it had to just be my imagination.

Around the same time frame I was working in a little diner. And I "saw" and old man sitting at one of the booths at closing time. He was wearing a hat and a plaid blazer and he was reading the paper. I went to tell him we were closing and by the time I made it to the table no one was there. Those are the only two times I had encounters like that, both of which I passed off.

However when I listened to your story the other day it really struck me. I'm not sure if there is really anything for me to learn from it, it was just one of those moments where you go "HOLY $%^&#" I've SEEN HIM! So I just thought I would see if there was anything I could find out about the experiece that could maybe help me on my pathway at this point in time.
