| you are incredible Erin, you always seem to write (you and other people on this forum) on things which are somehow relating to what is happening in my life ! I must admit your reading still resonates with me and I am now looking at the means through which I could get there It is just that right now, I feel "split", because I know it is going to be a hard road and that the best way to get there would probably to go back to college, but this will demand time and money and the road is still foggy, this will be hard to do right now, perhaps I have other things to learn and do before I can get there. My main issue is also being credible, it is why I believe more education could be beneficial. I guess if this is what I am meant to do, the fog will dissipate progressively as I walk on my path... I still want to thank you for reminding me about the information you have given me, I had totally forgotten about it ! |

Dear erin, Listen to this: I am college student. I don't have any job. I will study for another 2-3 years. But yes, i am creating my life in that way you mentioned the car example. It's great indeed and helps a lot to go ahead. Motivation and support as fuel and steering wheels as your actions. Colors, friends, life partner and parents as love and sits as situation. So, Car example and i know what i want is for me. I don't have any job or business so no point for transitions. I want to make my career in business. It's better for me and it's the job i love. Dealings, bargains and make money by doing what you love. Grow more by external and internal communications. Do you have any suggestions, tips or things related to me?? Blog post is fantastic. Lots of love and peace to you... |

Modern Thing: You may not need education for credibility. Depends on the field you're going into. A lot of people get stuck thinking they must go back to school to get a degree. sometimes this is true (like if you want to be a doctor or psychologist) and sometimes it isn't (like if you want to be a life coach or speaker). See if there is another way to spread your message.

| true, I guess I have trouble seeing where I am heading now, it is quite foggy, probably because I do not see yet where I am walking, but I'm sure it will become more obvious as I walk along my path... I guess this need for 'credibility' is probably linked to some silly fear I need to overcome. I know I am a capable person. |

| I would like to help people deal with many common difficulties that are often overlooked, they are fairly simple to care for, I have been in particular situations that I now know quite well for having lived through and found my way out of them, and, from my experience, the recognition of the situation itself is the key to moving on and feeling better, and I'd like to give to people in special needs their power back, to overcome their fear, in order to heal. As easy as it may seem for many of us to get out of there, many others are struggling very hard on these situations. I want people to see they have the power to heal themselves. Perhaps all that is needed is the will to do it, perhaps, I'm just trying to make it sound more difficult for myself than it really is... |

you could write a book, you could prepare a keynote speech, you could write a screenplay, you could be a coach to a particular group, etc. What education or degree do you believe you need to accomplish your goal?

Actually in my field of work- Fine art, even though you may not "need" a degree, no one will take you seriously if you dont have one, and preferably a postgrad degree. Because its so easy to do as just "a hobby". You need to distinguish yourself from being someone who does this for a hobby and someone who will be worth investing in. Of course there are exceptions. |

| Danas, I have the feeling this is where my fear comes from, not to be taken seriously, or to look like yet another dodgy "New Agey writer". There are many of them out there, and from my experience, not too many people look at them with a good eye, especially in a professional environment. I should get beyond that. Well, I should trust that I will still attract those truly in need I guess... and look at what I will truly achieve, not what people might think of it. |

Get a degree or a day job, but get working on art/life coaching/etc etc on the side. The degree isn't a magic bullet, and at the end of the day you still need to gain hands on experience and earn your credibility, degree or not. So get started early, even if it's for free, in some small way.

This article showed up in my sidebar as "Ready For a New Car..." No joke. At the moment I'm a final year economics student but I see myself going into a completely different career; writing fiction and/or being a personal development writer/speaker. I've also got my eye on writing fiction that's meant to be read aloud, kind of like an epic poem. Nice little thing to pimp my ride |

Cool stuff. Thanks for sharing. The car metaphor fits quite nicely with a lot of situations. I think learning to communicate with your guides is also very useful so that you can make day-to-day decisions on your own. I have ditched my former car-eer. Feeing lot of sweet excitement about the things ahead. |
