If you don't naturally have psychic abilities, does it mean you aren't meant to?

Erin has been experiencing the paranormal from a young age, right? There are people out there that just have these abilities from the get go, but what about those that don't? Does it mean that it just isn't in the cards for them? Or are the abilities that some people "naturally" have just a result of years of development in past lives, or do they get hit with the psychic stick? Basically, all I'm trying to ask is if someone has no ability to speak of, does it mean it's not important to their path? That learning to connect with source is just a nice perk?

I know lots of people who grew up without a psychic bone in their body and have learned to access their intuition to the point where they could accurately give readings to people.

Intuition and psychic abilities are like a muscle. Some are born with them and some really have to work at them. I believe everyone is capable of developing their intuition, but some will have more proclivity than others. If you want them, work for htem, and you will have them.

After beign reading Autobiography of a Yogi I am more than convinced that everyone can become psychic and more than that. You may have more or less predisposition but that doesnt makes you unable to.

By the way this was said after Babahi manifested a palace made of solid gold with everything included (not even all the gold extracted in the story of humanity could build that thing) and latter made it disappear.

As you can see it is a matter of comprehension and open your mind, how much can your mind comprehend? How much can you allow your mind to expand and your heart to see?

If everyone have the potential to create such things in the highest levels of evolution I dont see why couldnt everyone learn to be a psychic.

I just wanted to say that I have also seen people who showed no evidence of psychic ability develop some.

It depends on your level of motivation - pretty much everyone has some kind of skill set for psychic awareness, but it can take a bit of work to open it up sometimes. So it depends on whether you want to put the work in and open it up.

I think most people need to broaden what they of as psychic abilities. Some people are clairvoyant, like Erin and many famous psychics out there, so they see things very vividly.

But many of us are clairsentient, we feel things... or claircognizant, i.e. we just know things that we otherwise shouldn't. That's also a psychic ability, but what we think of as psychic is influenced by the famous ones we see on TV.

Right on, babe! And the way to exercise a psychic muscle is through focus. You don't really have to work hard at all, just spend a little time and energy every day strengthening your beliefs about what it is you want and what you believe you can do--and experiment with it--and you'd be surprised what develops. You're already doing a lot of stuff right now that you are not aware of; you're consciousness takes far more care of you than you know.

All I did was nurse an insatiable desire to learn what one thing, one energy, one law all the machinations of the Universe were predicated on. And at about the same time, I simply grew frustrated with people's mental and emotional manipulations: I wanted to get to the heart of the issue fast. A short time later, my psi talents emerged and since then, I've discovered I can pretty much do anything there is, access any information out there, if I focus on it in the right way and practice.

Of course, I did begin this lifetime as a Highly Sensitive Person and Indigo Child. I've noticed that it's a smoother transition for highly sensitive types to access their psi abilities since they are already so aware of the subtleties of the world. But we all have the "muscle" built in, it's literally how humans are designed. We usually just get educated and socialized in the opposite direction of our full nature, typically in the name of some fear-based societal more.

If you want to experience a particular facet of psi for yourself, I recommend focusing on it by immersing yourself in literature about it and hanging out with people who engage in it regularly and/or are comfortable with it being a normal, everyday part of their lives. You will always manifest the reality you believe to be possible, so the only work you really need to do is to get to the point where you believe--you know--it's real. Then, it will come easily to you on whatever path feels best.

Ok I will relate some experiences pertraining this topic, I once in a concentration wished for (I was desesperated for a girlfriend) wished for a black long haired tall girl to follow me way home.

The next day when I was leaving school I wont say the long haired tall sexy amazon-like girl appeared and followed me home but what it do happened was that a very pretty girl which I had a crush on but I never attempted anything suddenly shouted me "hey wait!" and walked with me halfway home.

I had one big crush with a girl that had left school (because she was uber cute and I learned she liked me!) I started to think without cease of her to no avail. One day I was asleep during a travel with my family in the car I suddenly "woke up without waking up" is hard to explain I became consious of myself while sleeping but I wasnt dreaming no, I was actually in the dreamless state beyond dreams and I suddenly woke there and decided not to open my eyes. Then I thought "move your eyes upwards" as I did I saw a floating "sphere" what was emanating light that was producing a very peculiar sound like electricity or something I then opened my eyes, 2 hours latter the climate was very strange like those si-fi movies or series and the girl I had been thinking was there!

So, see I dont think there is "telekinesis" or "seeing the future" I believe everything is part of the same thing I believe in the Holographic Universe approach and Yogananda's lectures. Everything is possible and specific abilities are just the result of spiritual evolution and removing mind self imposed limitations, why they people manifest specific abilities? Because it is so much easier to cope with the idea of "I can see the future" "I can do this specific thing" than with suddenly large scale powers.

I think the sound the light produced was the cosmic OM vibration by wich everything comes to existence.
