How many spirit guides do I have?

Thanks for blogging more recently :)

Just wondering about you erin, is there anything you could ask that you wouldn't be able to interpret the response? Doesn't having a strong connection with a guide make you almost omnipotent since they can see and do and know things you can't? What happens if you ask about alien presence on earth? Can't you just ask your guides if they are here and what their intention is if they are and etc.?

Also I think I can very very faintly hear my guide when I try to converse, when I send them a message does the clarity of that message depend on the focus of my thoughts on that message?

What don't you have access to?

Interesting article, Erin.

I did my first meditation to connect with my guides about 3 weeks ago. I saw one who appeared as male with a magenta colour, who seemed very much like he was my life guide. His energy kind of felt tatty: I didn't exactly feel like I was in the presence of a fantastic being of light, but he was just an average joe guide.

Then I saw another, who looked like a medieval princess (name of Victoria), and this one felt like she had multiple people down on Earth. She actually presented me with a gift; she said it had been meant for me when I was very young but I could take it anytime I want. It was in a cute little gift box and everything :D I opened the box and it was a translucent ring to put on my finger. Not sure what it could represent specifically, but it was a nice thing to have/experience.

My method to connect is to sit down, close my eyes, say out loud "I wish to connect with my spirit guides", cross myself for protection, and feel in my heart chakra when a connection is made. Then the visual projection of my main guide manifests.

Couple of questions:
-Could my main guide be like an average-joe guide, or was the impression I got more reflective of my own life situation? It felt like he shared my negativities.
-Any other ideas on connecting? Does opening chakras before connecting and closing them after help?

:D

Guides are not omniscient. Having access to guides doesn't mean I have access to ALL. Because we have free will, guides cannot determine what our course in life will be, exactly. Read my article "What's Going To Happen" for more details on that.

Guides tell me what I need to know and not much more than that. They don't reveal so much that you become disempowered.

guides comes in all shapes and personalities. Some are aggressive, some are sweet, some are haughty, some are logical and analytical. I have found the the dominant guide often reflects the personality traits of the client.

Yes opening chakras definitely helps to connect with guides. That's what I do and that's what I teach.

Erin, are guides really like "other people" that decided to pick a human and help guide them, or are they more like "part of our inner selves" that are guiding us with intuition?

LOL! That explains why people seem to see me the way they do ("aloof" comes to mind). I'm reflecting my dominant guide. Fortunately, I think he's pretty amazing.

Ah, spirit guides.

I've been trying to connect with mine since last month, I believe. What I can and cannot do is very restricted right now, so I'm trying to meet this guide through a lucid dream at a specific location. Each time I managed to get to that location, a wolf would be hanging around (mentioned in another topic so I won't go into further details), but I haven't been aware enough to attempt communication. Sadly, my burst of lucid dreams has reduced and I'm struggling to get more awareness into my dreams to initiate more lucid experiences.

I don't know which of my guides this would be, if it definitely is one, but I'd assume it would be the lead guide.

Anyway, I'm sure I'll take another step forward soon.

Thanks for the blog update, Erin, it's interesting to know we have quite a variety of guides.

I recently met one of my guides. Each and every time i actually try to, nothing happens. That evening i was not trying to at all, just trying to go to sleep and it happened. I willingly tried to meet him again but it looks like i do not "choose" when to. I was talking about it with my best friend and the same thing happens to her, her guides are the ones choosing when to come for a chat. I wonder why is that? Anyway...

My guide looked very serious. Not smily, not funny, not gorgeous, but not haugty either. Just the "gets the job done" kind of serious look. I thought it was incredibly suited to this part of me who just gets thing done without the fluff around it. I really hope i'll meet him again soon.

There is only even one guide at a time. If there is more than one guide then they are not there through your oversoul/higher self and now kindly ask them to leave!

I hate to be a party pooper but those are not guides you are describing Erin, they are spirits/entities!
The reason the dominant guide reflects the personality of the client is simply because that spirit is in their aura and can mimic them.
NO guide is EVER aggressive.
