Do spirit guides let you down? Question for Erin.

I wonder whether anyone feels the same as I do. I notice coincidences in my life almost every day, and I always recognise these, and wonder whether there is any significant meaning.

Yet, when it comes to big things in my life, such as large financial losses (of which we have suffered several) the spirit guides (if they were there in the first place) seem to desert me. I don't notice the presence of spirit guides at any time in my life, but when bad things happen, then I really feel as though I have been abandoned by them.

Guides never desert. But sometimes people can't hear waht guides are saying becuase it's not what they want to hear or expect to hear. You have to get really quiet, open your heart, lose the fear, lose the expectation, and really listen. I got your other email and I'll respond to that soon. Standby darlin!

Thanks for your reply Erin, but I really don't feel that we had any warning, especially with this latest debacle. In fact, in my experience, it seems that my spirit guides lead us to things that seem to be good ideas or great ideas, and there is often that "meant to be" feeling, but then it all falls flat on its face, leaving us feeling totally abandoned.

Do you think you were a vibrational match for the success of your plan? Is it possible there is a belief inside you or your husband about money or sucess that might make you guys not a vibrational match for wealth?

I would have thought we were a vibrational match to at least be comfortable by this age, even if we weren't wealthy. This latest plan was simply buying and holding shares with a broker who had been recommended to us by a professional. We had no idea that the shares were not in our name, and we would be unsecured creditors i.e. the last on the list to be paid out anything. About 3,000 people were affected by this. Apparently the unsecured creditor bit is buried in the last few pages of a 40 page document. We just thought we had shares.

In any case, we're definitely not a vibrational match for being poor, although it would seem that the universe, spirit guides or whoever are definitely doing everything they can to keep us from any financial freedom, let alone wealth!

Steve and I had a similar situation. Years ago we had managed to save like $10k. I wanted to sock it away in savings so we could someday buy a home. But he decided to invest it in tech stocks, using one of our closest friends who values tech stocks and who had also sunk all his money in the same stock. We figured if he was willing to sink his savings into this fund, we were safe too. Then the dot com era failed and we lost 100% of our money. Just watched it disappear. It had taken us our entire relationship to save up that kind of money and we were broke AGAIN! We were soooo frustrated. Felt like we couldn't catch a break. We worked hard for a decade and had nothing to show for it.

Then we decided to stop giving our money to other people and invest it in growing our own businesses, our own selves. So we invested money going to confereences that would help us grow. We spent money learning so we could do our work better. And we changed what we did for a living to be more in alignment with our higher selves. And hten the money started rolling in. Only then, when we made these changes, when we stopped giving our power to other people to take care of our future.

We don't invest in real estate or stocks of any kind. We invest in ourselves. Try that for a while and see what happens.

In our case, it wasn't that the price of the stocks went down. Our funds have been frozen! What this means is that by the time the administrators have paid out all the debts (not incurred by us but it comes out of our money) and they take their huge fees, there will be very little for us. Not to disparage what you went through but you were young at the time. We have had a lifetime of putting one step forward and ten steps back. While it would have been a nasty shock for you at the time, we've had years and years of huge shocks. My husband especially, has been working extremely hard for 35 years and we have very little to show for it.
