Very interesting!

If anyone is curious to read more on this, here is a brief description of 9 energy systems in the human body (including auras, chakras, etc.) from Donna Eden (author of Energy Medicine).

So does the aura actually serve a purpose or is it just like energetic jewelery.

In yoga, we do exercises to open our chakras. Does that change how they would appear to you?

Supertom: yes the aura serves a purpose. It's an expression of your energy for one. It can be used to shield, or to touch and empathically transfer love to others.

SireneB: yes, if you changed your chakras I could probably detect the change. Your guides might show me how they normally are and how they are after yoga.

Thanks Erin, once again it's like you knew what I needed and blogged about it. Amazing. When cleansing your Chakras, is it important in the beginning to understand what each one represents? In other words, is it still helpful if you do the exercise with the colors in order even if you don't recall what each color represents?
