I really enjoyed it. Do you ever ask your guides about this kind of stuff for clarification? Or do they want you to draw your own conclusions? I hadn't realized you were having experiences like that in the early ninties... when did you first start raising your vibration consciously like that?

Dan, at the time I didn't think to ask my guides. I wasn't as aware of them as I am now. I basically just feel like I accidentally snuck back into the ether, got caught, and got sent back. It was a trip to be sure! Regarding consciously raising my vibration... first I learned lucid dreaming, but no major shift in vibration there. It wasn't until I began with the astral projection that I learned how to raise my vibration. A friend taught me how to do it because every time I went astral I saw tons of negative entities that scared the heck out of me. He taught me how to move out of phase with them so that I could leave them behind. I was 15. |

I've been doing AP for years, starting shortly after Erin and I met in '94 -- she was definitely the catalyst. I'm nowhere near as good though or as frequent with it. Usually I get freaked out and scream like a little girl for help.

Now that sounded like a pretty interesting trip, to say the least. Astral Projection, now that's something that I haven't experienced and haven't really applied myself to of yet. Lucid dreaming is my current project concerning travels of the mind. Concerning AP though, is it mainly traveling from one place to another by flight, or can one also see themselves at a particular location and teleport?, much like how a dream usually operates. |

How do you consciously raise your vibration? Do you think about positive thoughts? Do you say a certain prayer? It would be interesting to know.

I'm not sure of the physical mechanics involved, but I know it involves willing and manifesting. But basically I tune in to the energy in my body (this is easier when you have experience feeling that energy) and sort of breathe in extra light and energy from Source. As though you were in a room with stale air and suddenly someone opened a window and a fresh breeze came rushing in. How you might feel expelling the old stale air and breathing in fresh, invigorating air, is somewhat how it feels. There is often, but not always, an accompanying tingling sensation like electricity in my body.

This brings up something I've been thinking about lately. I was raised thinking that using "God's name in vain" was the same as swearing, like using the words "God damn it." Recently, with the Bush administration, the phrase took on a new meaning for me. I now think of it as being when a person uses the name of God deceitfully, to further their own malicious or selfish intentions. Like, "God wants us to go to war."

That blog entry that Dan referenced on how to raise your vibration applies to while you're awake and living your physical life. What I just mentioned above is what I do when I'm astral. Just an fyi.

I have just recently heard of astral projection/out-of-body experiences. It really caught my attention b/c a guy on a radio show was talking about your body being paralyzed, not being able to get back into it, and these like mean people chasing you. I thought, OhMyGod, I have had this exact dream...or that's what I thought it was at the time, anyway. I remember finally getting my body to move and being scared to death and thinking, My God, that seemed so unbelievably real! Since I have been reading about it, it seems that a lot of people experience these "negative entities", as you called them. I am dying to try this astral projection, but I am scared to death of the "negative entities." What are these people? Has anyone ever been hurt by them that you know of? How can I dodge them? Also, the guy I heard on the radio had experienced the upper planes, or upper heaven, as he called it. He also believed in Jesus and claimed to know Jesus exists. He didn't believe in God, by the way, before he started doing these astral projections. Thanks, Debbie

Thanks for sharing Erin. I don't think I've ever astrally projected myself in my sleep. My experiences tend to happen while wide awake, often in mid conversation. I've explained it as 'going through the gaps in reality' because I get the sense of time slowing down and my focus becomes fixed in one place, then I slip through into an entirely different setting (most often places that are not in this dimension). When I'm doing readings though, 'they' come to me in the sense that I'm fully aware of the room and other people but guides or deceased people appear in the room with us. I'm aware of the different levels they come from by the energy surrounding them and how physical they are. For 3-4 yrs I've had a couple of teenagers who died in a car accident near where I live 'come through.' They were a popular couple and friends with my oldest daughter so quite a few of their friends and relatives have been to see me. These two have always come through very differently and never together. He was a 'hot' (according to all the broken hearted girls he left behind) boy racer who lived life on a razor edge, tempting death at every turn, like he was invincible. She was a very intelligent wise old soul type with a big personality to match her physique. Her parents were very wealthy and Dad had bought her a flash fast car for her 17th b'day. She was driving when they crashed but he was egging her on all the way. Both had a pot pouri of alcohol and drugs in their systems when they hit a lampost travelling at 180 kmph on the corner of suburban street. When I first met them after they'd died, he was in total shock. It took him months to come to terms with his death and the impact it had on his family. I spent many hours counselling him after readings, on my front porch. He always appeared very physical. Conversation with him related to his family and immediate events as if he was unable to percieve more than this reality. She came through the first time as energy and took 4-5 mins to recreate her physical presense. Her messages where more futuristic in relation to her family and fathers business, usually simple and to the point and she'd shift back to energy again. It was only when her sister came to me that she gave some small glimpses of childhood memories and words of comfort. I was exploring numerology at this time and hers were old soul/spiritual master numbers while his were physical/emotional. I tend to 'know' things in the spiritual realms, without having been taught but my rational mind (the doubting Thomas) is always seeking explanations. I also have trust issues. Trusting myself that I do know (typical of a 9 dayborn). From a physical perspective looking at these two teenagers, I'd have thought that he would have been the one seeking a return to spirit. He seemed less attatched the physical world, more free spirited and she was very earthy, aware and solid. So it was a bit of a suprise to find the opposite. Lallymac |

I'm always genuinely interested in Astral projection but I have been hesistant to do it because of the potential danger as told by my old dad . My question is what are the dos and dont's b4 doing an astral projection ? I'm not doing AP now for my family but i know that i 'm going to try it some day in the future to fill the hole of my curiosity. |
