Question for Erin

Hi Erin,

First of all I would like to say a big thank you to you for creating such an excellent website. It has answered many questions which I had. There are a couple of which I can't find answers to, however. I understand tha you are very busy but if you could give me some sort of answer I would be extremely grateful.

The first question I have is, what happens when a soul has lived many, many times and has become advanced enough to merge back with God? Does the soul begin to live a life similar to the one we live down here on earth, or is it just a "lights out" scenario?

The second is, is it possible for a medium to connect with a deceased person if they are presented with a personal object which belonged to that person while they were still alive? A dear family friend who died 7 years ago has not, to the best of my knowledge, ever tried to connect with me or my mother, even though they were best friends. She was present at my birth and I have many happy memories with her from when I was a child, and I miss her very much so I would very much like to get messages from her if she has any for me. As I am seeing a medium/psychic this this Wednesday, I want to take along a framed picture of some dried pressed flowers which she made not long before she died. Will this help the medium connect with her at all? I am certain that she is still around us, not least because her mother cannot come to terms with her death at all-she still cries all the time, always wears black and goes to her grave every morning, 6 days a week, even after all these years. I'm sure she must be in the background desperately trying to plead with her mother not to grieve so much, but the messages can't be getting through as the grief isn't getting any less. If I could also get a message from her via the medium to pass onto her mother to make her feel just a little bit better, I would be extremely happy.

If you bring along a personal object to the medium, he/she should be able to contact the deceased person - Lisa Williams does this all the time on her show. However the person does not always come through: it may be someone else closely related or a friend etc

some mediums work well with objects like that, and some don't need it or can't get anything in particular on it. it doesn't hurt to bring it. I might ask the medium ahead of time if it will help her tune in.

As for the first question:
Technically there is no time on the other side. All lives are happening at the same time, it's just that from our perspective there is time in between. But when a soul is done incarnating, done experiencing, it can merge back with source consciousness and cease to incarnate anymore.

I am still not 100% clear though....what happens to a soul after it merges back with God/source, as in once its completely merged? Is it a "lights out" moment or do we somehow continue existing in some shape or form with God/source? Like, do we still somehow carry on functioning as an individual soul and using our own senses or do the lights completely go out once we merge?

Once you are done incarnating and merge back with Source then no, you don't retain an individual consciousness, ego, persona, etc.

Hm so all this time we're all developing as souls and getting more and more experience just to lose our own consciousness completely in the end anyway? Seems kinda tragic to me. :/ I always had a vision that once we become extremely developed as souls and stop incarnating we'll just kinda live forever somewhere in the beyond and be free of physical pain that's associated with living in this world, but obviously not.

It just kinda seems like we're all working to become more englightened, experienced and live many lives for nothing in the end because we lose our consciousness anyway, do you see what I mean?

Who said you have to merge back with Source right away? Take your billion years, run with it, have fun. Some souls decide to merge back and some don't. Your choice.

So then what would you say the true purpose of living all these many lives is and developing our souls? That is supposing that the ultimate end choice is always to either just live another life or merge back with God.

If there is no "reward" for becoming an extremely developed soul at the end of it after living many lives, such as living eternally in some sort of special dimension which is free of physical suffering, then what is really the point of living all these lives and becoming extremely developed?

There is a third choice you're not expressing.

1. You can keep incarnating to Earth, in this third dimensional plane.
2. You can merge back with source ("I'm done")
3. You can take yourself to the next level, become an ascended master, help others, etc. Explore other dimensions and ways of expressing your consciousness.

I see, thank you for the response. Do you know what it is like to move into another dimension and exist there?

There is just one more thing that has been niggling me for a long time....have you heard about the apparitions of the Virgin Mary at Medjugorje, Bosnia and Herzegovina? If you have, do you believe that these apparitions are real? The Virgin Mary apparentely appears every month, usually on the 25th day, to deliver messages to the world through 6 vissionares. All that's been done so far is scientific studies, all of which came back either inconclusive or came back to state that the vissionaries are not lying or hallucinating, and nor are they in any way mentally ill.
However, I have not heard a single professional psychic ever comment on these apparitions and I would be very interested for your take on it. However, I have noticed that many contents of these messages are very consistent with what it says on your website. For example:

That all people and religions are equal before God, that one is not judged based on what religion (if any) they follow and that one does not need to be religious to find their way to God.

There is a big emphasis in many messages, as there is on your website, about reconnecting with God (or Source) and an equally big emphasis on discovering and using Love.

(There are some things which clash with what you say, such as references to the existence of Satan, but if these apparitions are real I suspect that the Virgin is using language and terms as simplifications so most people can relate to and understand them, as most non-spritual people reject the idea of things such as individual evil entitites and low vibrational beings, and the idea clearly seems to get as many people to listen to the messages as possible).

But anyway, I would be very interested to hear your take on it! And if this is real, does it also mean that the Marian visions that happened in locations such as Lourdes are also real and are indeed all genuine messages from Jesus and God/Source?
