Lucid dreaming can you help me, anyone? Please?

I am very new to all of this. I am 53 years old but I was exposed to the paranormal (as they call it) at a very young age. I have been taught for most of my life that it is all demonic activity. I have had certain abilities I would not allow to grow because of this. I love God very much but have left the "church". Not Jesus' teachings, Just the church.

Here is where I need help. I dream and I know and see in my dreams the activity like a story someone wrote. I know I am dreaming and I am deep into the story of the dream. I like the dreams because I know I am going to learn something about myself or someone I know.

I have had God ( I could not see his face) in a dream answer a question for me. I felt unloved because of what I thought was an unanswered prayer. God told me I couldn't base His love for me on what He gives or doesn't give me. I did recieve what I wanted 2 years later, but I had first to act like it was on it's way. People thought i was crazy but it happened as I saw it in a dream.

Recently I saved my relationship with a man I love very much because I dreamt of a woman who was set on making him her husband. When I told him about this dream he looked terrified. He wouldn't admit the truth in it though. In a few short weeks my dream was revealed by me hearing a voice in my head saying "go on facebook. Log into his account." I did and the instant message between the two came up. I called him on the phone, while he was instant messaging a planned meeting for them to have sex. He was floored. He admitted everything and told me this was his boss and didn't know what to do. The next day he confronted her. I wanted to leave him, I didn't know if the spirit guides gave me this dream to protect our relationship and warn me in order to save it or to tell me to leave him. My daughter believed it was to save it. I am glad I stayed.

Are these Lucid Dreams? Are these dreams from Spirit Guides? Are they my subconcience thought which is removed from emotional thought patterns so I get a clear message of what is going on around me?

I now know it is not that I am not demon possessed. Sometimes I get a dream, sometimes just a word or numbers. I got 558 floating around in my mind and I watched it. I knew I had to remember it but do not know why. This morning I went back to bed, I know I was going into one of these dreams and saw the word "support". "support" kept floating off to "sub...." but the sub word would not finish and would go back to "support" then I saw "submit".

Are these messages Lucid dreaming?

My daughter thinks that I am recieving these dreams from guides that could only get through to me in my sleep because my concience mind fights them off because of the Christian teaching that these things are wrong and of the devil.

Lucid dreaming is when you know you're dreaming, so in this case it's not. It's probably your spirit guides helping you.

Congratulations. It took a lot of courage and a great deal of inner strength to break away from the church. You should be proud of yourself. I am sure that your personal connection with God is now stronger than it ever has been.

The key element of Lucid Dreaming is that we are aware that we are dreaming while we are in the dream. You've got that. When most people think of Lucid Dreaming they think of the kind where you can consciously interact with the dream elements. But another type of Lucid Dreaming is where you know you are dreaming, but you go along with the flow of the dream and don't or can't interact with the dream elements on a conscious level.

I kinda sorta agree with your daughter. You may have had this dream to save him and thus your relationship. It sounds as if he really didn't want to have a personal relationship with his boss, but may have thought if he didn't his job may have been in jeopardy. Plenty of women out there face this same problem everyday. Your dream and you confronting him about the arranged meeting gave him the courage and strength to do stop things before it went too far.

They seem more like dreams from your guides or from your Higher Self. Dreams from your subconscious tend to be more symbolic in nature and not so straight forward.

I am soooo glad you don't think you are possessed by a demon anymore. The gift you have is a gift from God and it is to be treasured and used just like any other special talent you or anyone else might have. Like artists or writers or atheletes use their special gifts.

I don't think these messages quailfy as Lucid dreaming, but are more along the lines of messages from either your higher self or your guides. Samuel has the best answer to the numbers. If you have numbers frequently in your dreams you might want to get Doreen Virtue's book. The words "support" and "submit" seem to me to be advice and instruction related. It's like telling you that you will find "support" from the people here on these forums and telling you to "submit" a post.

There is a very good possibility that your daughter is right about that. Whether the messages are from your guides or your higher self doesn't really matter. What you were taught in church is like brainwashing and as such can close you off to recieving these messages on a conscious level. But it could be just as possible that your dreams are just the way God always intended you to have this gift.

Now I've got a few questions for you. Can you ask for information about a person to find out what's going on with them? Like if your daughter seems to be a little withdrawn or out of sorts and either can't explain it or for some reason doesn't want to.... Can you request a dream about her to find out what is going on? Have you ever tried requesting a dream about a specific situation or person?

It's always good to have another awkening soul among us. Good morning!

What you describe we call "Medicine Dreams" in the Tradition I follow. These are Dreams sent to you by your Guides, Allies and Benefactor (different people call them different things, but the gist is that they are your "spiritual support squad.")

The really fantastic (I think) thing about having a close personal relationship with your Guides and Allies is that it in no way negates a fundamental Christian philosophy. The two are not mutually exclusive. However, it does allow for you to follow your own heart more freely and not be bogged down by someone else's dogma. This allows you to nurture a much more personal relationship with God directly. So, you can maintain the basis of the Faith you had before without the shackles of the Church to weigh you down - assuming of course that you WANT to continue on that Path.

Whatever formula you choose to connect to God, for now, revel in your Dreams. Allow them to fill you up. Keep a Dream Journal and make sure you write down as much of the details as you can remember every morning as soon as you wake up. Do this as soon as you are concious you're concious before you do anything else. The Medicine that comes in these dreams, as you've already noted, doesn't always make sense right away, but it will eventually. Having a record of the Dream as well as what was going on around the information in question is a great way to begin to see the trends and mile-markers in your Dreams. The more you study your Dreams, the easier they will be to understand and the more you will be able to use the Dreamtime to your advantage.

Thank you so very much for your time. I am grateful. I am so new to this all. I am not sure if I am even answering you all correctly. I am humbled by your help and excited that I am not doing anything wrong. I will be carefully open to more guidence in my dreams.

TeresaO, you asked if I go to sleep asking for an answer, you gave the example of something troubling my daughter. I haven't tried it, but I will. I recall about 20 years ago I was close to suicide over a problem. Just before bed, I asked God to speak to me in a dream so I could have a direction with my problem. I did dream and the answer came to pass. I knew the dream was different and from God or someone higher than me. I woke up knowing I wasn't alone and could go on with my life happy. I lost that along the way out of fear of the 'Occult" .

I will start to practice and use my gifts. I know it will be small steps but any steps forward ...well, any steps, any size, I am excited about.
