Dream Construct/Spiritual communication - very confusing to separate

Hi Erin,

This is gonna be a long post so please bear with me. My grandmother passed away a few months ago. I loved her dearly. I had 2 dreams about her and both are similiar, but confusing to tell whether it was something my mind made up or was it a spiritual confirmation.

Dream #1 ( 2 months ago) - I dreamt that I was walking and speaking on the phone with my grandmother. Her voice was somewhat soft-I asked her are you happy? She said " Yes". I then asked her are you mad about what happened to you? and I got no response and then I woke up. I didnt feel like it was something real.

Dream #2 ( Last week) - I dreamt again that I was talking to her on the phone- she was giving me a list of things to get at the grocery store for her. (Like I used do when she was alive). I heard her loud and clear -it was her voice. We hung up and then in the dream I started to cry uncontrollably, because I knew she was no longer here. I woke up and was very upset. It felt real to me.

Why didnt the first dream affected me like the second one? If she was indeed was trying to get thru, I dont understand why it didnt affect me the way it should. So I would just assume that it was something my mind made up?

Speaking to deceased people in a dream on the phone is probably the most common dream you can have about a deceased person. It usually indicates real communication. They give it to you in a form you can understand. That it didn't affect you emotionally doesn't concern me. Not all of them will. What happens though is that while they are coming through your own mind can warp aspects of the dream. So while she might be communicating with you authentically, it may not be crystal clear... you might be bringing in some of your own flotsam and jetsam with it.

First dream did not affect you emotionally because your mind was not prepared for it and did not realise that it was an issue to be emotional about.
Second dream expressed emotions because the mind was expecting it and wanted for your grandmother to be on this side of existence. The realization that she is really gone and does not have a physical existence anymore, brought on the emotional response.

People who are deceased and who were used to phone usage in their last body, may still continue using such means in the astral world even though in a sense that is unnecessary there. People continue in the astral existence whatever they were doing in the physical existence. For instance they might be living in the same kind of building except that it is made out of astral energy and not physical materials like wood and stone.
There are adjacent astral worlds, where many such people live and after a time, they again get another body and come out again in this world, usually through their relatives as babies.

Take some time off to meditate and you might develop the required sensitivity so that you can stay in touch with her mentally and then you can always pick up her thoughts and she can respond to your thoughts. She is not dead. The only thing that is lacking in her existence is a physical body,. Her psychological self is still in tact.
Phones are no needed, but they are important because that is what you rely on for communication.
But you can shift the emphasis from phone to mere thinking and keep in touch with her in that way, It begins with catching yourself in the act of thinking back and forth to her, like a sort of conversation in your head.
When you find that you are saying something to her mentally or wanting to do that, listen in your head and whatever you divine would probably be a sort of instant reception of her thought. So then you think back to her and she will think back to you, and like that you will stay in touch with her
As for seeing her astral body, that is possible and it might happen in dreams and in astral projections but sometimes your subtle body will perceive her only as a presence since unless your astral form is exactly in the same frequency range of hers, your astral eyes will not perceive her even if she is standing right there in front of you.

Oh dear, I just posted something quite similar to this. Very interesting about the telephone. Can you hear her voice clearly? In my dreams I can touch my grandmother, but she never says a word...
