Differentiating between Higher Self and Guides?
 

Hello all.

I've been wondering how to differentiate between ones Higher Self and Guides. I have an inkling feeling that they are both the same..?

The reason I am asking is that the two seem to blend together much of the time. Both communicate via intuition and both sound wiser than my lower self. I do a lot of journaling as well, which I think is my Higher Self.. I guess it doesn't really matter, like you said in your article, if they give good advice does it matter who it is from? Am just curious if there is a way to know which one is which. I suppose, you can tell by the feeling you get?

Maybe you could just ask specifically at times which one you want to talk to and get a feeling for them.

You should be able to identify their different energy signatures.

Difference between the higher self and spirit guides
 

Hi there,

There are a few differences between your higher self and your spirit guides. Your higher self is your essence - you in your purest form. Obviously we are all connected and parts of the same source, but your spirit guides are not you. They have their own essence and their own energies and specializations that they can bring to you.

I always think of guides as being on a mountain, with a bird's eye view of your life. Whereas in your daily life, you are in the valley, unable to see the wood for the trees, it's like each spirit guide is on their own mountain, with their own vantage point. And so the assistance they offer is unique, and it's unique for each guide. There are often themes or energies they specialize in and bring to you. One guide might bring you the energies of confidence in self-expression. Another guide might help you to open your heart and love yourself.

You as a spirit also bring your own particular type of special energy and lessons to others, just like your spirit guides bring to you. We are all here to teach one another things and exchange energy.
