Hi Erin, I have two questions for you (or anyone else that can communicate with the other side). I've always been very fascinated by dejavu, and was wondering if you had any information on it? Are there any spiritual theories as to why dejavu occurs and what causes it? Also, my close friend saw a professional that told him that he opened the door schizophrenia and almost got it. He also experiences mild symptoms of it currently such as mild paranoia/anxiety and mild depression. He is a great soul and I would like to help him in any way i can with it so i'd like to learn more on it. Are there any spiritual theories on schizophrenia as to why it occurs and what causes it? Eagerly awaiting your reply! Nic. |

Most cases of Deja Vu are a neurological disorder attributed to stress. When one is over their functional threshold of stress, spasms are triggered that interupt the flow of conciousness in "real time" to you brain. So instead of appearing as static reality, it is percieved as memory, even though the delay is micro-seconds. Some cases have been reported where individuals felt they had been in a neighborhood before and have been able to predict where a park or favorite store were, having never been in that environment before. This is different from Deja Vu and has been linked to Past life regression. I'm still not sold on the past life theory, so I have no opinion on either way. Hope that helped. |

One scientific theory about Deja Vu I learned recently is that one of the eye might have perceived the scenery and sent it to the brain slightly faster than the other eye. The double information received by the brain might caused one to experience a sense of familiarity aka Deja Vu. Its quite similar as Ace22 mentioned, although from this POV, the cause is not stress. Im not spiritually enlightened, but I do believe that all is one and one is all. All human share the same soul, but not their consciousness. Deja Vu could be that you temporarily share the consciousness or memory of someone who had been there. Theres no known evidence to this little theory of mine, though. |

Your friend needs to see someone else. You don't just decide to close the door on schizophernia! There are new and better med's to take to help with this disease. Schizophernia destroys familys and lives. Have your friend find out what is really going on. | |

I have a different theory for déjà vue. Some say we live in a simulation that serves as a school to teach us about Love. Think of the movie Groundhog day for instance. Phil Connors keep reliving the same day until he learns to love in the Now. We could be experiencing life in the same way. If we don't get a lesson, the story is rewinded and we go thru it again until we learn, erasing memory of past attempts, and déjà vue would be a glimpse of what we did before. In the movie, think of the erasing mechanism being defective. This could account also for serendipity.
