Hi, Has anyone lost their intuition after having an MRI? Did you get it back eventually? I'm a bit at wit's end over this and don't even know how to explain it. But here goes: I've been highly intuitive since I was about 3 years old (after a nasty meeting between my head and a coffee table). I've been a lucid dreamer, near clairvoyant, extremely in tune with the universe, and have spent most of my adult life really working on developing my abilities. I was doing great, until I had a brain MRI 2 months ago. Previous ones had no side effects on me, but this last MRI was at T3 strength, and afterwards I completely lost my intuition. all of it. along with my lucid dreaming abilities, ability to even remember dreams, ability to get into a deep meditation, and a complete loss of any clairvoyant abilities. Try as I may, it is not coming back. I feel completely lost. I keep listening to the universe for feedback, and there's just a void. It is weird, but it makes me feel alone. My intuition was an incredibly huge part of my personality, my purpose, my meaning. Without it, I don't really know who I am. I'm hoping this is a temporary setback, and I am continuing my regular meditation and intuitive activities to try and get things back in order, but so far nothing is budging. Has anyone gone through something like this? Did anything help? How long did it take to recover? thanks for your help |

Hi MsCappuccino, first of all, there is no such thing as "T3 strength". Although the strenght of the magnetic field is measured in Tesla, it has nothing to do with T1/T2 weighed images. Afaik the only occurance of "T3" with MRI images is a MRI-T3-stage tumor, which I hope is not the reason for your MRI. But you're right that the "magnetic force" of MRIs have constantly become a little stronger over the years, which could account for brain dysfunctions. While these are supposed to last only for as long as you are in that machine, I wouldn't totally dismiss the possibility of some trouble after the examination. As for your loss of your intuition and connectedness to Source, the universe, or whatever you'd like to call it, I would suspect a different reason than the MRI. I'm thinking fear of negative impacts of the MRI, a disease that might have been found (and which you're now aware and afraid of), or simply some sort of sign from the universe to concentrate more on your corporeal everyday life. The latter might especially be the case if you have a tendency to use the spiritual aspects of your life to avoid problems that are directly in front of you and can only be solved by engaging them "bluntly". In any case, I'm sure that there's every chance in the world that your intuition etc will return if you either deal with what's keeping you from that and/or cut yourself some slack while regenerating. Inspiration and spirituality don't go well with forcing the issue, and fear will lower your vibration to the extent that you might be standing in your own way. The body has exeptional healing powers, so I'm sure there's nothing an MRI can damage beyond repair. Your great advantage is however, that you can be absolutely sure there's more than what eyes and ears tell you about the nature of the universe, because you've experienced it for most of your (this) life. I know it's easier said than done, but try to have a little more faith that everything's gonna be okay. And it will Last edited by Sivar; 09-15-2009 at 10:44 AM. |

If you feel the MRI decharged you why not "recharge" yourself? Off the top of my head there are a couple ways you could do this: 1. Use crystals 2. Spend some time in the mountains or other pure, barely-touched-by-human-hands natural location. 3. Visualization of your what you feel you lost reentering and integrating into your body. If you do this you may wish to ask Archangel Michael to clean up any energetic nasties or negativity from the past before entering your field. 4. Talk to your intuition. Ask it where it went, why and how you can get it back. |

I have not experienced anything like that, but my intuition (ha!) about your situation is that if there's a letting-go of your abilities, and increased experience and acceptance with living without them, they'll return to you, ten-fold. WITH the added bonus of what you learned by living without them. It doesn't strike me as what Sivar said, exactly, with avoiding problems, etc.... More like: here is a chance to expand yourself even more. I have the image of a raspberry cream swirled something... Before, you were all raspberry, and you took up this much space. After living for a while without being in touch with your intuition, you'll add more and more of a different kind of life in, and you'll fall in love with THAT life - all cream. You'll find one day your intuition IS there, and there you'll be, happy and well-rounded, raspberry AND cream. For some reason I'm seeing a raspberry & cream sphere! I wanted to say "fat and happy", but the word fat triggers some people on this list. But that'll be you - living a happy, fat life. Maybe it's phat? I'm reminded of Way of a Peaceful Warrior, only Dan Millman lost the use of his legs and found spirituality and intuition. |

Thank you for all your replies and suggestions. I'm open to trying everything and seeing what happens. I hadn't thought that maybe this is some sort of gift, the gift of being able to really appreciate what I had by being forced to live without it. I used to wonder what would happen if it all just went 'poof' one day. And now I know. And when it returns (and I am hoping it will be sooner rather than later) I'll appreciate it much much more. I have to admit, I like all that raspberry and cream swirly stuff. In the meantime, I sort of feel like Q (from Star Trek Next Generation) when he became mortal. Normal human things like getting hungry, getting tired, etc. were bizarre for him. I'll keep you all posted on what transpires. P.S. the MRI was exploratory...no disease state, nothing highly unusual found. Thankfully! |

Very strange! I wish you well. I'd love to improve my intuition, and it'd feel terrible to lose what I have. I think I agree with the others, this could be a gift for you. And even if it isn't, you can make it one. It seems funny you can gain intuition by hitting your head hard and lose it in a similar way! Maybe I should go bang my head against the wall. Only intuitively I think maybe not |

Hi. I have the condition known as bi-polar type 1. When I was hospitalized for being insane as they liked to put it, they performed ECT (electro convulsive therapy) on me. I went through something similar to your experience. The electricity that was applied to my brain fried a bunch of connections and I could barely remember who I was for about a year afterwards Conclusion: It will come back given time if you want it to. "It is only by knowing what something is not, that you can truly know what something is." |
