should you have a reading when you have low vibrations?

I am currently going through a horrible situation that has devastated me emotionally and spiritually. I would love to get some guidance from a reading (with Erin, of course ) but I am afraid that my anguish over this will effect the reading.

You say that before a reading it's best to get your energy as high as possible, but lately it's all I can do to get out of bed and take care of my children and not break down in hysterical sobbing. Is it worth it to even try??

I've read for people on the brink of suicide and was able to help them decide to live and even thrive. So bring on the low vibrations, I can probably help quite a bit.

however, I have noticed that sometimes I'm limited when I read for someone with low vibrations. They are sometimes closed off to me and don't want to accept what their guides are telling them. Probably because good feelings feel so far off. So sometimes I can pass on some wonderful information but the client doesn't want to accept it... yet.

if you feel called to get a reading, then it's probably a good idea. But if you feel unready for one, it's probably best to wait until you feel called or urged or nudged.

I'm usually at a pretty high vibrational frequency (I think), but right before my reading with Erin, I had some low moments via email with an ex-collegue. My state at that time, didn't seem to affect the reading, if that's what you're asking.

I second Erin's statement that if you feel called to get a reading then it's probably a good idea. Coming here and asking the question indicates a certain level of readiness.

In my experience, regardless of your current state, if there is a great yearning within you that can no longer be silenced to know the truth your guides have to share with you, the reading will be of value.

I don't know the particulars of your despair but can tell you that I was at the lowest point of my life emotionally and spiritually when I had my first reading (with a psychic other than Erin ). And, to be honest, I was a HUGE sceptic (lowering my vibration even more). However, I managed to suspend my "beliefs" for the session. Allowed myself to listen with my heart and soul rather than mind, with a spirit that was open to and accepting of the messages. What I was told resonated deeply as truth. It was somewhat painful because I had been denying like crazy, but mostly I had a massive feeling of relief to have verification that my intuion, which I had been supressing as untrue and unacceptable, was in fact accurate.

Thank you all for your thoughts about this. At this point, I do feel very strongly drawn to have a reading, but it looks like I will have to muddle through this on my own for now, as the wait time is 2 weeks and I'm afraid to cause more problems for myself by spending money we really don't have right now

Use intention manifestation to overcome that limiting belief. The universe is seeking ways to help you now. Be open to them.

I guess that's where my low vibration is effecting me the most. This situation is hitting right at the core of my life's intentions and creations and I feel utterly lost now that those intentions and creations are being taken from me (or at least appear to be).

I don't trust the universe anymore, I don't think I can have whatever life I create, I don't think that my intentions mean a thing...

Then that is what you'll experience. You're free to choose a different reality when you're ready, but perhaps at this time it's important for you to experience and embrace this lack of trust and sense of powerlessness. It is in no way wrong or bad -- it is simply the reality you're choosing right now.

As Kahlil Gibran wrote in The Prophet:

"The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain."

In your case I wouldn't suggest getting a reading. I think you just need to know that you're not alone and that you're loved. We're all in this wonderful journey called life together, even as we individually experience the depths of sorrow and the heights of joy. It's all part of the beauty of being human.

The benefit of dark times is that they make you more light sensitive.

I had a psychic reading one day when I was feeling kind of down, my spirit was hanging low, and after the reading, I felt much better. I met a man, a very spiritual psychic, who shall remain nameless, and his guidance was sufficient, and it allowed me to get to the root cause of why I was feeling that way, and after we had some tea, chamomile. I am also in the boat of going thru a really, really tough time in my life. I had a reading by Erin at the very beginning of it all which was just a few weeks ago. I can say she wasn't able to give me too much info because she said it was too soon, decisions haven't been made yet, but she did tell me I would feel joy again someday and also gave me a pretty accurate analogy of what was going on. It did make me feel much better but, let me tell you, it is really tough getting thru this. Sometimes I can hang on to the "I'll be great once this is all over" but my ego can sure do a job at dragging me down. The universe has been very good at throwing me nudges. I just wish I could detach from the emotions and fear that keep creeping up on me (like at 1:00am)!
