And how did you discover it and are you comfortable with it? If you were led to your life purpose from a reading, how confident do you feel about the psychic's message? If you drew your own conclusion; what expectations do you have of yourself and that of your spirit guides and the universe ? Lastly, how important do you feel it is that you seek and achieve your life's purpose? |

Hi Ace, I've found that the more I try to figure out my life's purpose, the farther it travels from my grasp. I've come to the conclusion that if I try to live each moment (not easy) in a way that is peaceful and joyous for me, then I am on the right path and don't need to question if this is my ultimate purpose. The more I question and try to get answers, the more frustrated I become. But of course, everyone is different. I know people who just know their purpose, and some who were suddenly hit over the head and had an "Ah-ha!" moment. But I've never known of anyone who sat down, questioned it, and received a straightforward answer. That's just my experience, though. |

For many of us, finding purpose is a difficult thing. It's also something that can change with time, and as a result, the overall purpose of one's life often can't be determined until the end. This is the belief of Viktor Frankl who survived several Nazi concentration camps and wrote about his experiences in regard to the meaning of life. Many times, the direction we take to find meaning and fulfillment are based on past experiences. After spending much of my life living the unhealthy lifestyle that is so common in modern society, I was faced with chronic fatigue syndrome and doctors who had few answers. Based on this, my current purpose is to help people get more out of their lives by sharing with them what I've learned about living a healthy lifestyle and having a positive perspective. Over time, as have new experiences, this purpose may change, and that's one of the greatest things about life! |

Maybe I should clarify; I'm talking about your pre-incarnated purpose for coming to this planet. According to Erin, (and I believe her) That as spirits before we manifested physically, we had a reason for doing so. Some of us even risked getting back into the game, by being born of parents that weren't exactly optimal. We made deals with other spirits called guides. We left a plan with our spiritual anchor called "higer self". And off we went. Once we cut the physical umbilical cord with mom; we started using our free will to discern what we liked and what bored us. (not knowing that Angels and guides were guiding us into the direction we chose as spirits) Now I don't know how someone could leave the Ether, be born and live a life of State Welfare. I can't see a life purpose of getting high all day and watching Oprah and Springer. I was born of two rather inconsistant individuals that were in the nightclub industry. One was in the administrative aspect, the other the patrons aspect. I was a musical child prodigy. I was writing pretty deep poetry (that was published) by the age of 9. At the same time I was playing with the house band and the phrase, "that kid is going places" was used quite often. So I assume that is my pre-chosen life purpose. I mean, where else did I learn music? I think this might even explain how a podigy comes to be. Anyway, that's the kind of purpose I'm talking about. Your specific reason for manifesting as a human. Or maybe life is just a raft ride like Esther Hicks says. Who knows? Maybe for most of us our purpose is to be born, try not to kill anyone, avoid jail, multiply, outlive your physical body, then cross the finish line. What do you think Erin? |

You are one of those people whose purpose may be a little more clear-cut. Do you feel peace and joy when you are practicing music? Do you feel like you are in "the zone"? You are so lucky! You are probably an older soul than I. Do you feel that you need to take your ability and use it for a higher purpose, or are you simply content just creating? | |

I believe I discovered mine when I listened to one of Steve's podcasts. StevePavlina.com Podcast #015 - What Is Your Purpose? It was quite awhile ago now, so I think I shall listen to it again. In any case, what I came up with still resonates with me after well over a year. For what its worth, I believe I was put on the earth to spread beauty to others. I also feel a duty to work to conserve the feline populations of the planet; I've always been really drawn to cats my entire life, and it pains me to see what human kind has done to most of the large cat populations. I feel these two things actually dovetail each other quite nicely, as one of the best ways to conserve these creatures besides breeding programs is to educate others and share the beauty that these kitties possess. I also feel drawn to spreading beauty in the human form, and helping to shift our society's views on the human body. Good luck on your journey! |

It's funny because I DON'T Believe in re-incarnation. I believe in pre-incarnation and I think we probably have spiritual experiences embedded in our spiritual software (whatever that may be) that tells us we were alive in a previous life. I profess that we weren't exactly alive, but we were able to witness or follow the life of someone as their spirit guide. Personally, I have the feeling I was an officer at Pearl Harbor during the attack. I can almost feel it. But perhaps it wasn't myself that was the officer, but someone I was contracted to guide and direct. I've also heard it said that malevolent spirits can put past memories into your brain making you think you were Alexander the great. OR, they can give you the knowledge that you're familiar with an area you've never been to before so much that you know where something is, and you have no logical reason to support having that knowledge. So I don't believe I was a musician in a former life, but I bet I was a musician's spirit guide in a former life. I was probably a guide for a naval officer at Pearl Harbor as well (btw, I did serve in the Navy). And anything prior to that, I have to write off to watching to many Kirk Douglas and Tony Curtiss movies as a kid. I think we only manifest as humans once. I think this is a character proving/testing ground for where you belong in the next membrane or life after this one. Be it Heaven or a parallel universe, (I subscribe to the heaven approach) I believe you only live once as a bio-sentient creature. When we die, I believe we are actually born into a higher environment. Just as we were cast out of the womb that we inhabited for 40 weeks; Just as there was life after birth, I believe there is life after what we call death or passing. I don't know about heaven or hell. I've heard many people with NDE's come back and start whistling dixie and doing 180's in their behavior. They have claimed to be in a place that was "like" what we would call Hell. But fortunately for them, they were still spiritually attached to their vegitative state body. They even mention a spiritual umbilical cord. Sorry, I'm ramblling again. And please understand, my opinions are only how I see it. I'm not saying I'm right. (but I could be) Cheers, Ace |
