Pennies, pennies everywhere! They keep on coming... ahh!

I've been finding pennies everywhere. And by everywhere, I mean... everywhere.

It all started maybe last week, when I found a penny on the ground and picked it up. As they say, "See a penny, pick it up, and then all day you'll have good luck!" I know that Erin has said in her blog entries that if you see change on the ground, you should pick it up since you should accept what the universe gives you in all shapes and sizes.

But then I started finding pennies everywhere. In a crack in the road. In the clothing store's dressing room. On the side of the road while in the car, on the way home and going places. On the counter in the store. In drawers that I haven't put anything in, in months upon months.

I've collected 13 pennies so far, the majority within about 2 days. And... there are about 5 pennies (maybe 6) that I couldn't pick up... mainly because it's unsafe to get out of your car at a red light just to pick up some loose change.

But what do these pennies mean? Is it a symbol I'm a vibrational match for what they can represent? (fame and fortune? since I've been imagining myself giving huge concerts - think 10,000+ people - to people recently.) Or something else entirely? I've been doing some IM-related visualizations with myself giving huge, huge concerts shortly before finding all of these pennies, are these pennies a sign that my 'order with the universe' has been received and now it's possible to achieve what I've been dreaming of?

In addition... how are you supposed to understand what signs the universe is trying to tell you - how do you interpret them? And who's sending the signs - your spirit guides? Higher self? Source? All in conjunction with one another? And how do they decide what's the best sign to give you? Why am I collecting so many pennies?

What do you guys think? Any and all help is appreciated. I just don't want to end up with my house being overrun with pennies because I couldn't figure out what I'm trying to be told...

I think I may have written a blog entry about interpreting signs, but if you can't find one, let me know and I'll write one.

Sometimes pennies are receipts for your LOA intentions. Sometimes they are signs from deceased relatives. Anyone close to you pass on recently?

You might be predisposed to viewing pennies as signs so that's what they're sending.

No, nobody close to me has died recently. The most recent passing was my aunt; that was sometime last year though, but I wasn't close to her by far (more like a "hi" and "bye" type of relationship, only saw her on holidays with the family.)

I'm doing a search for what you've posted about interpreting signs like this. I'm only finding stuff that has to do with spirits trying to contact you via syncronicities (and signs to an extent), and nothing about signs themselves. I think an article on interpreting what signs could mean by themselves would be awesome - it'd definitely help me now!

I'm pretty good at interpreting signs if the reference is in my face. For example, I've asked for help dealing with problems in my life that I've been having trouble figuring out, and then I'll get a bunch of signs right in a row (within a few days). Ironically, I've been thinking about getting a reading with you - within the last month I've had three dreams about you, including one where you were giving a reading to somebody else and I was right there in on it (I think I was helping!) I was like... , somebody might be trying to tell me something! To me, three dreams about you when I can't control my dreams in any aspect (lucid, programming), after thinking about and wanting to get a reading = maybe it's time to book a reading soon. Finding penny after penny after penny = eh, not so clear.

In other words, those are signs are pretty clear - I'm asking for help or Source is giving me info straight up, IMO. They aren't necessarily signs that might be in reference to multiple things. How do you decipher signs when you don't have a clear context to put them in, but it's obvious that they're signs of something?

Edit: I found this blog post from a while back explaining that you can interpret signs by trying out different contexts until one "clicks" for you. This sorta fits, but it also leads back to not knowing exactly how to go about doing that, especially when you're not totally clear what they mean to begin with... hmm.

Your Reticular Activating System or RAS, the filter between your conscious and subconscious mind has been programmed to notice pennies. Of course your RAS does other things like notices the same color and make car as the one you just bought. When you're in a busy airport and you hear nothing but ambient noise, it's your RAS that picks out your name being page to a white courtesy telephone.

You could focus on corn dogs and your RAS would alert you everytime a corn dog passed your way. Try that ! That's more fun than pennies.

RAS sounds nice, but this situation is too bizarre for that.

Yesterday I accompanied a choir which sang at a middle school. Walking down the hallway, they had this large, square, plastic donation container sitting on the floor where you can drop in change for some cause.

You know what it had in it? Thousands of pennies! I honestly desperately searched for a nickel, a dime, even a quarter, I couldn't find one. It was solely pennies! What are the odds I can't even locate a quarter in a big 2 foot by 2 foot box that supposed to hold all sorts of change? The fact that was full of pennies points that, in my reality, it functions as a sign of something.

Later in the day I found three more pennies, two nickels and a dime. Today I found a penny in the Starbucks parking lot. Then another penny at a grocery store. Oh, and I also picked up another penny off of the car floor.

RAS sounds like a great "solution" on the surface, but I sincerely think this is something else. When I actively try to search for the pennies on the ground, I find absolutely none. When I let everything go, I find them over and over and over again.

Recently my beloved and I set out the intention to find coins as signs that we were on the right path with our creativity and as signs of the promise of prosperity in our lives.

While around our flat in England we were only finding maybe a coin every other day or so.

But on our trip to Ireland in January, the first trip there for either of us, we began finding coins everywhere, as soon as we left our flat to get on the bus toward the airport. Then we found tons more coins once we actually landed in Ireland.

While on top of an abandoned 6,000 year-old sacred hill, standing next to a ruin of an ancient burial mound, in a snowstorm, we found a ten cent piece on an untouched piece of ground. It was just sitting there!

We took it as a sign that our spiritual paths (both leaning towards Celtic and ancient shamanic ways) were heading in the right direction. And also, based also on the fact of how much we loved it in Ireland, that perhaps we may come to find our prosperity and further purpose in life end up leading us to settling in Ireland some day.

You never know!

Hi! This is so bizarre-I decided to Google "pennies as a sign?" not really expecting to find any "hits" but here I am reading about tons of people who have had this happen! For a while last year I too found pennies in the most bizarre places and it happened so often it seemed more than coincidental. It got me wondering if there was some kind of "urban penny legend" out there that I wasn't aware of. Bear with me-I'm brand new to this site so I have no real clue what IM, or LOA intentions etc. are, but I'm curious to find out.
Anyway it's always cool to find coins laying around-its just so strange that 99% of the time they weren't nickels or dimes etc. but pennies!
If you managed to find out anything more regarding what this symbolises, I'd love you to let me know. Thanks!
