source through a prism

Hi Erin

My reiki teacher describes reiki as a component of source. Another way he gave us to think about it was to imagine light through a prism breaking into different wavelengths or frequencies. Source works in a similar way. He describes reiki as the "blue frequency of source" or the "healing frequency of source".

Of course this made me ask what might the other components be, but he said he did not know.

Can you shed any light on it for me (excuse the pun!)

The color blue is more often than not connected with the throat chakra, and communication. Many blockages seem to occur around this area due to fear of speaking the truth, or feeling like you have nothing to add to a conversation, holding back your words. Using the color blue can help open and heal the blockages, and help you express yourself more.

Generally speaking the color "GREEN" is used as a universal healing color in the modern world. Just think about how often you here the word GREEN these days especially when it has to do with the Green Movement to recycle, and use earth-friendly products.

He gave examples like the blue medicine buddha, and a blue heart chakra in a five chakra system. Perhaps my teacher was tibetan influenced.

Usually green is associated with the heart chakra. Never heard of blue being associated with it. He must of learned a different system I imagine. I've heard of there being no chakras to 100's of them. It seems like new ones are invented all the time, or something. Makes you question if they even exist.

I've seen energy around people, but never have seen balls of color energy where the chakras are suppose to be.

The thing with energy centers (chakras) is they are created by the interweaving magnetic forces of a positive (radiant) and negative (contractile) nature. The positive lines of force emanate from the north pole of the energetic system (crown) and the negative from the south pole (root). This interweaving of the lines of force create 7 primary, and several secondary, and even tertiary braiding of magnetic lines of energy force. So there are many, many, centers, but only 7 major ones.

Universal prana is drawn in through the south pole, and is met by the positive spiraling energy of the higher centers. The locus of this meeting point determines your conscious frequency of spiritual awareness. Unconsciously, we are all deity, but the goal is bring this into conscious awareness. This meeting point of the outer prana and inner prana has been called by eastern cultures the kundalini.

The physical locus of chakras is also related to universal archetypes which designate how intangible awareness relates to the tangible and symbolic world of form.

I see auras and chakras differently.

Aura is the energy around a person, what they are exuding.

the chakras are inside a person, and that's where I see the colors.

Green in the heart, blue in the throat.
