Just sharing my first experience with my guides (maybe)

I have been trying on and off for quite a white to connect with my higher self and with my guides
I had a lucid dream a while ago where i flew into a conference room where I wanted my higher self to be, except it was too busy so I could not hear a thing
I have also tried journalling, which maybe was my guides but Im not 100% sure as it didn't feel right
However, the other night
I realised in a dream that I was in fact dreaming, so I manipulated the dream (which originally was scary) until it was quite nice
Anyway I was in my house and I walked into my kitchen and looked through the windows, and it was amazing, I have never had such a clear dream, it was clearer than my normal reality as I need glasses but I only wear them sometimes
Absolutely amazing
anyway I was thinking to myself about Erin and Steve's advice about guides and consciousness in general
I went outside and I saw lots of people in a pool and waterfall type arrangement and I remember thinking "wow reflections of my consciousnes" It was very exciting
I went around the corner and said "will my guides please put their hands up?"
Three people in a spa put up their hands so I rushed over to them very very excited
I sat down in front of them and one of them mentioned something about being 18 in reference to my sister (which I think was actually meant to be about me not being 18 yet)
I asked "what should i do about it?" but I only got a funny look from one of them
Then I turned to another and he said "I need to figure out who shaved off my arm"
I turned to the other and he said "this is the advice you have been asking for... your afraid of the future because all you know is the past"
And then I woke up


That is the most real experience I have had, does it sound like a genuine experience to you?
Any tips as to how to improve my experiences?
Is it possible my guides have nothing to tell me?

I'm no expert in lucid dreaming but I'll tell you my impressions about what your guides had to say.

The part 'you're afraid of the future because of your past' sounds like something a guide might say. It could be that your expectations and plans of the future may be coloured too much by what you've lived in the past? Is it a call to let go of anything in the past that is colouring what you're living now?

I'm not sure about the shaving off your arm bit?

In dreams, my guides can sometimes 'talk' to me in symbolic language. It makes no sense in itself but I can sort of know what they're talking about because of how I feel when they say it. Did you know what they were referring to with that?

Do guides often speak so cryptically?
I would have thought that seeing as I have had not had much contact with them, that they would have a lot to say
I think I may have some idea as to what the past/future message was about but the shaving off of the arm part was a bit strange, it didn't make sense to me

Mine can sometimes say funny, cryptic sounding things, but only when I meet them in dreams. And usually I understand the symbolism of what they're saying.

Guides don't have vocal chords and they don't speak English. They use energy and we have to interpret the signals into English. Sometimes it's easier for them to send an image. (a picture is worth a thousand words). People who are clairaudient can hear more precisely.

So do you think it is better to just interpret every sign I may get from them? both visual and audio?
What about my higher self, are they likely to contact me in the same way?

Dreams are an excellent way to receive messages. Work on interpreting them correctly.

Not everything you receive is going to be a message from them though. Your subconscious mind and your ego will also send messages. Learning to figure out what messages come from where is a skill to develop with time and practice.

I think that could be true advice from your guide that you are afraid what future might hold for you, so they cannot advice anything for your future. Makes sense.

I receive guidance from angels and sometimes spirit guides, but I find it easier to ask angels to help, because they give me advice through signs and inner voice which is very easy to understand.

When I call for help from spirit guides some messages come quite complicated so it takes time to figure out, but that is also very exciting.
