Automatic Writing

Hi! Normally, I lurk here and on Erin's blog, but I just wanted to say that I love Erin's method for automatic writing. Recently, I've been experimenting with contacting my higher self and spirit guides and happened to come across that particular article. (Actually, I think I saw a post where Erin mentions it.)

I didn't really expect much out of it but decided to try it. I've tried the more traditional methods of automatic writing but the thought of a spirit or even a spirit guide possessing any part of me gives me the creeps. So, of course, it never really worked. This time, words just flowed out into the word processing program giving me advice on certain things I've been blocked about. It's very possible that it's just me talking to myself, I guess. On the other hand, when I started, my mood was one of depression and guilt. By the time I finished, my self-confidence had boosted and a sense of relief came over me.

I guess there's no real point to this other than to say 'thanks' for that post.

The way to tell if it was your mind dictating what to write or your Higher Self is to look at the style of writing. If you wrote the words you do not use , or even unknown words, it means that it is your HS or spirit guides writing through you.

I tried channelled writing only twice. I asked my spirit guide to write through me. The second time was successful and I got the answer and a personal message to me. It was written in a very posh language which I don't use, there were some complicated words I did not know the exact meaning of.

During this writing I felt great but after it I felt drained. I thought I will share this with you

Automatic Writing: What is it?

I was glad to read this article as it explains the downside of automatic writing (if you use it as a oui-ja game would be used). This explains to me why so many times i got a spirit swooping in when i only wnated to talk to one of my guides (which happened a couple of times, mind you). I don't even try anymore as that spirit is annoying. I told her i don't mind to help but she doesn't know what she wants, she repeats stuff many times, doesn't tell HOW i could help. It's always the same spirit when i don't get my guides, it's quite frustrating . I asked Archangel Michael to help her and don't even try to write anymore as it turns into nonsense. It doesn't freak me out at all, it just annoys me. I don't think it's an 'evil' spirit as i always asked divine and angelic protection first.
I know this post is old but i wanted to find one discussing this and not start a new one if the subject had already been discussed before.
