Erin, Please write a book about your spiritual experiences. I am simply fascinated and your blog does not provide enough information to satiate my hunger for knowledge of this type. I really enjoy learning about the spiritual and can use this knowledge to help create a better life for myself, which translates to better lives for the people I affect. I think those who follow your blog will agree, a book about this topic would be a great success! Thanks, Jeff |

Erin, For what it's worth, another random forum member (me!) seconds this. Steve's book is a wonderful addition to the personal development field, and truly brings together a lot of the core concepts. You have a lot of knowledge and information about the psychic and spiritual realm. If you can put this all together and get at the core essence of what it really means to pursue psychic or spiritual development, you could write a great book for the psychic and spiritual community. If you wrote a book like this, I, for one, would be first in line to buy it. Well, maybe behind Jeff. |

I was raised Catholic with all the bells and whistles that go with it (guilt, our way or the highway, OBEY the commandments, etc). I've been a 'bad Catholic' for many years now, but always kept a bit of that guilt and fear of hell etc. I think there are many parts of that religion that are beautiful (like in all Christian religions), but the older I got the less the rigid dogma of it all felt right to me. (Which just breaks my mom's heart of course!) When I stumbled on your blog last year (I was reading Steve's blog about polyphasic sleep and noticed this curious 'Erin' link...) it was a revelation. I had an awesome time reading through all of your archives over the next few days and couldn't get enough. It all just resonated with me so well, especially the posts about the LOA, lucid dreaming, the afterlife, the ether, spirit guides, the higher self, God/Source, etc. For the first time my mind was officially opened to the possibility that the way I was raised was not necessarily 'the truth' or the way life/the afterlife really works. So thanks Erin. A lot. It's been fun exploring these concepts through other sources as well, and this forum continues to blow my mind. This latest post answered a lingering question I've had about how/when we re-connect with our higher selves. You've touched on the subject in previous articles, but with this one you explained it in a way I could more fully comprehend. You rock. |

| Why resist? Just start typing and before you know it, you've got a bestseller! I would definitely buy it and try to get all my friends to read it\buy it. Your words freed me from the fear of death and completely changed the way I look at life! Maybe you could title your upcoming book 'The Meaning of Life' By Erin Pavlina. It will sweep the world and be banned by The Church (of course we all know the best way to get your word out really quickly is to get banned!)

well shucks ya'll, thanks for the encouragement. Are we thinking about a book that is more like a psychic development book? more like a "why are we here and what the heck is it all about" book? A spirituality book? A book on intuition, chakras, higher self, spirit guides, lucid dreaming, being compassionate, kind, loving, being one with everyone? What sort of book are we thinking oh other-parts-of-myself? |

You know what I'd love to read? Your memoir. There aren't too many psychic memoirs out there and I think that'd be a joy. A lot of wisdom would be imparted naturally, people would learn a ton, and we'd get to enjoy all the gorgeous specifics. Also, a memoir would go a long way to demystifying what it's like to live with psychic abilities like yours, and inspire people to let/make it happen for themselves. There are a lot of psychic development guidebooks out there, but only one Erin Pavlina story. I would be delighted within an inch of my life to read that book. xo Tina R.The Gallivanting Monkey |

Anything that could help the reader move beyond the prevailing us-versus-them mentality would be very valuable. Fighting Supreme Evil, for example, is entertaining and has a great message. I'm sure you could replicate that combination in a novel, if you were so inclined.

Personally, I would love a book that ties psychic and spiritual development together. A book that gets at the core essence of what it really means to develop spiritually and psychically. An Erin Pavlina version of PDSP. Instead, it would be SWCP. Anyway, I feel that you are going to write a book someday anyway. It just seems inevitable to me. It seems, to me anyway, that it is about time for you to write a book. Nothing should hold you back. I'm absolutely positive that you've gained enough wisdom and knowledge through the years to write a truly awesome book. "Spiritual Wisdom for Conscious People" by Erin Pavlina.

I think we all agree that you DO need to write something eventually, but don't feel pressured in any way. I have a feeling that once you start writing it will be a very enjoyable experience and it will just flow right out of your fingers. You'll know when the time is right and what specific subject matter to focus on first. Just remember that there is no reason you can't write about everything you ever wanted to over time.

| This question can be answered simply by reviewing the type of persons one meets in dreams, particularly lucid dreams and astral projection experiences. If one does not usually meet a certain person during dreams, then it is hardly likely that one would meet that person in the after life. A person's present psychology carries over in the after life. Thus the person will associate in a way that is similar to what transpired in the earthly life. There are both positive and negative realities in the afterlife. As in this life, nearly everyone hopes for the best, and everyone wants to achieve their ultimate well-being, in the afterlife there is a similar approach, which may or may not be realised. |

Hi all, This thread is so interesting to me. When I first started reading through Erin's blog, I also couldn't get enough, because I love reading firsthand accounts of psychic and spiritual truths. While reading, I kept having the persistent thought that Erin should write a book or books expanding on these topics. I felt a strong impulse to email Erin and make that suggestion, but I'm a little too shy to have done that! For me, it's not just the knowledge, it's also Erin's unique view and sense of humor. So many psychics have written books with a very heavyhanded, self-important, or overly serious tone. Erin's writing style is so personable, light, and hilarious, it really brings these abstruse topics down to Earth. So Erin, I'm really glad people are encouraging you to write a book. I think there's a real place for your memoir, which I agree would be fascinating (and fun!), and also a book about the spiritual purpose of life. Meaning, what you've learned about why we incarnate, how the incarnation process works, how to approach our life lessons, what some of the astral realms are like, etc. Basically, how the universe is much vaster than we think, and our lives all have meaning and purpose, but it's up to us to make it all happen. We can all access truth within ourselves and come closer to merging with our Higher Selves. I would just talk about your spiritual and psychic experiences, and what you learned from them, as well as what you've learned from your readings. Good luck! |

In your blog, Erin, you say that once a person passes over they may meet loved ones, angels, spirit guides and even God or Jesus, but then more importantly, you go on to suggest that this will depend on your state of mind at the time of your demise. Please explain this further as I don't understand this. Do you mean to say that reality isn't fixed solid, that we see what we want to see? And what is the difference between God and Jesus - I thought they were the same? Thanks |

To some people God and Jesus are the same and to some they are not. For some they do not exist and for others they do exist. Just throwing in some options to make a point. As to your other question. I may have written a blog entry about this already so the short answer is that your death expereince may vary from what other people experience, and partly this is based on your beliefs about what happens when you reach the other side. Those who expect Hell may find themselves there. Those that expect pearly gates might see them. Those that expect nothing might initially experience nothing. For the most part, people cross over in a very similar manner. But some people cling so hard to their beliefs that they don't see what is really there. in time, they do. The illusion fades, and reality is left. This may take just a few seconds, minutes, or it could take a very long time (think earthbound spirits). Don't fret too much about what you will see. What you should experience is Love. |
