Trouble in Spiritual Paradise!

I've been working with the Law of Attraction for several years now, in fact, I just wrote a post this morning about the importance of taking action on those inspired thoughts that come to us when we're connecting to Source. Not even two minutes after I hit the "post" button I received an e-mail offering me an opportunity that about 18 months ago I would have jumped at, but the company in question has jerked me around for the past year and a half and I have moved on. The "job" in question is basically a two-day assignment. The pay is paltry, but presenting to this group could open up doors for me, maybe. It's a lot of work for very little money and from a purely business perspective, I would not advise a friend to take it. However, I've been visualizing earning more money in 2007. I've promised to do my part in accepting Source's guidance and being willing to do the work necessary. I've let go of trying to control the "how."

I had a similar situation just two months ago. After some deep meditation I felt good about my future and could feel the universe working in my favor. Then I received a call from a former employer with whom I thought I'd burned a bridge. I didn't take that job because she's very nasty to work for and my self-esteem always suffers when I'm around her - she, and the company, completely drain my energy. I wrestled with the decision, though, and felt guilty for several days for not taking it.

Part of me says that this is MY life experience and I get to choose which experiences I participate in. In that case, I would not accept this recent offer. However, I am wanting to make more money and this is an opportunity to make money. Is the universe trying to tell me something? I've tried consulting with my guides, nothing. I asked them last time to not test me like this. Can anyone tell me what is going on? Taking the job doesn't feel right; turning it down doesn't feel right. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Steve would say that the job offer is an alpha reflection to your intention. It's the universe saying, "message received" and showing you it understands what you want.

If your intuition says it's not the right move, don't do it. If fear is telling you it's the wrong move, question it.

I've been in a similar situation. Like when I decided to shut down my web consulting business so I could concentrate on my writing, blogging, and doing readings, I got all kinds of clients coming to me asking me to be their web developer. But I was very clear on what I wanted to be working on and turned them down, even though it would have been easy money. Fear told me to just do "one more site" or "just a few more sites" but my intuition said, "You don't need web clients. You need time to develop your new career." I listened to the intuition and let the clients find other developers. Never looked back, never regretted it.

Go with your gut. Dont' worry that you might be missing an opportunity.

Thanks, Erin. That helps a lot. The only fear I have is "how will get all of this done in the time required without sacrificing something I really want to do?" It sounds like I need to turn it down. Thanks for sharing your experience and "no regrets."
