Do we all have guardian angels?

My grandfather died a few months before I was born so obviously I never met him. When I was a teenager I became aware of a loving presence around me. Mostly at night when I was in bed waiting for sleep to come I would physically feel my bed being rocked. I would lay so still just to see if it was my imagination or not. It wasn't. I felt like I was being rocked to sleep. I remember seeing a picture in my mind of my grandfather sitting at the foot of my bed making it rock. As an adult after my grandmother, who I was very close with, died (on the other side of the family) I would come home and smell her all over my apartment. She even came to visit me as a little bird once (I can't help if that sounds bizarre, I know it was her).
Are they my guardian angels? I feel that at different times throughout my life but not all the time. Is it only in times of need? How can I get more in touch with feeling them?

They are not your guardian angels. Angels are like a totally different species than we are. You have guardian angels, they are just not deceased relatives.

What you experienced was contact with your grandparents. Deceased relatives often try to connect with us. most people ignore or don't notice the signs. You did. That's wonderful! It's a blessing!

You can increase your ability to notice that sort of thing through training.

What kind of training?
I've always been able to feel spirits around me. I notice I feel them more when I am happier with my life and more open to new experiences. I've felt dark presence which I have just asked to go away because they kind of freak me out and they usually leave me alone. Most of the good ones I'm ok with when I feel them but I wonder why they are are near me. I have to admit I have been blocking any spirits from me for a while because I don't know what to do with them or about them and even if they are good, they still freak me out a bit.
When I saw this blog I thought this was the perfect opportunity to start asking questions. I would like to be open to them again but I need to understand why they are there and how I should interact with them.
These seem like such strange questions to ask. Most people don't talk about this kind of stuff!
