Too much chakra cleansing?

I'm sorry, I never know where to post stuff about energy work. It's not really psychic & paranormal, but it's not really health & fitness either. So I figured here would be okay.

Is it possible to do too much chakra cleansing?

I'm used to cleansing and opening my chakras. I've been doing it for a couple years now. I did not do it every day, just from time to time, when I felt that I needed it.

Now I'm doing it every day. It takes just 2-3 minutes, no biggie.

However, I have noticed that since I do it every day, it seems to be "too much". After doing it, I feel way too much energy flowing through my body, so much that it feels unbearable and I have to move immediately, for example I need to exercise or have sex or something similar.



Did someone experience something similar? Is it a temporary phenomenon?

It is possible to open them so wide that you don't feel comfortable. Are you keeping the energy close to your body or allowing it to expand far out from your body?

One time, as an experiment, I opened my chakras so wide they practiclaly felt infinite. I felt disembodied and felt like if I opened my eyes I wouldn't even see my body anymore. I had to pull back for sanity sake.

It's okay to open the chakras wide, but make sure you pull them back in before you go on about your day.

Since reading this post I started the process of cleansing chakras. It really works because I cleansed them yesterday and today I felt so in the flow!

Only great things happened to me and my vibration was extremely high, I felt unconditional love and I wrote 2 articles to my website and both of them turned out very well! Probably I really cleansed throat chakra

Today when I cleansed the third eye chakra and I could feel something in my head. It definitely felt like some process is going on there. But third eye chakra is spiritual, how can I feel something?

Hi Rose,

I have noticed that some Shamans do a little grounding exercise before they do any energy work. I think it's a good idea.

Before you open your chakras, imagine a golden cord coming out of your root chakra and going straight to the core of the Earth, wrapping around it and coming back again. That's a simplified version of what I was taught but you can visualize something better if you want to. The principal is to visualize a connection to the Earth.
