| I have 2 cousins who are gay....... they are fantastic people, I was raised that being gay is wrong a sin a bad thing God hates it but I love my cousins too much to treat them any other way than that of respect and kindness, and that is the way they treat me |

| Did anyone mention the 0-7 scale on Hetero-Homosexuality? As a Zero you are a hetero and as a seven you are a Homosexual. But there is loads of stages between those. If you are a 1 or 2 you can find attributions in the same sex wonderfull and sexy but not fall in love or even want to have sex, just maybe a kiss. And if you are a 5 or 6 you are the same but with the opposite sex. I really believe in this scale since most people really really can be bisexual or some different types of how to be sexually with other people. Love Leelene

| I do tend to see it as a scale, and my own position on that scale changes slightly with time, usually putting me somewhat off center with occasional pendulum swings in one direction or the other. To me it seems that women are apt to be closer to the middle while men are usually closer to one extreme or the other (myself being an exception to my own generalization). |

| You say, "the 0-7 scale", which suggests that there's literature behind its existence. Is there?

This model that I tell you about is a way of making it clear on how to describe people as full human beings in all those aspects so it is easier to know gender-spiritualy-body-sexuality. Guess you can try Wikipedia... Love Leelene

| Being a homosexual male is the best thing ever! Now, I sure couldn't say its always been this way but now its so perfect I wouldn't change it for the world. I feel strongly that being gay is fun. There is a certain playfulness that comes with being a gay man, and openness that I can identify being related to being gay. Most of my friends are gay men, and that to me feels just about right. I can't imagine being anything else. Ben |

| Keithhandy & helgi, thanks for the positive side u point out about gays. i am not really confortable about this but i suspect that i am a gay too. Am i in denial?????????????????????????? Erin, how did u come up with the idea that we are gender neutral in the spiritual realm?? Is the some theory or hypothesis that might underlie this remark? i am very curious??? Alex Wu, i wonder how u reconcile with spiritual side dan accept yourself being gay?? Are u saying say that your religion or faith accepts homosexuality?? I have been struggling with Bible... about acceptance of gay. I have been driving myself nuts for some time now that i fail to reconcile religion with homosexuality... PLEASE HELP!!!! |

| We're gender neutral in the spiritual realm, yes. No more bodies, just energy. There are memories of being a man or woman, but our default state is conscious energy.

Try reading some other texts along with the Bible, and try to reconcile them. That will be a very awareness-raising experience. |

| Thanx David. It never come across my mind that spirituality and religion can be two separate things. I always find these two synonomous. Joining forum like this and reading other materials regarding homosexuality have always given me the comfort about being gay (am i??). I find peace and reassurance when i read things like: gay is a natural, in-born thing; neorobiological functioning of a gay brains differs from straight guys; more gays are coming out; the world in general is more permissive etc. I wonder if i should denounce my religion (GOD forbids) so that i can be liberated to be what and who i think i am. true that Bible is 2000+ year old compilation of manuscripts, but if i am into it then i have to believe its true right? (true that cultural context comes in). i guess some forbidden things are universal and cut-across time, example it's wrong to steal 2000 years ago and it's still wrong today. It's wrong to rape 2000 years ago and it's still wrong today. |

Read the Bible closer. Rape was not wrong in the olden times.

| Kaspian: What u say it true. It's all a matter or personal choice... Michael: Correct me if i am wrong, do u refer to the part in Genesis about how Adam and Eve begotten Cain and Abel and how human population starts from there? In that context, i concur that 'incest' was even allowed at that time. And i am not aware of Opposite Day... I could be fun i guess... |

I expressed that theory to a few friends, but reckon I would get kicked out of lesbo land if I talk about it too much. I think that maybe all people can love both men and women, but maybe lots of people have a preference. It is tough for me to swallow too, because I am gay, and have no desire what so ever to be with a guy again. But I used to like eating meat. When I was fifteen I made a concious choice to give it up. Now the idea of eating meat would make me sick. Similiarly, is it possible, that many lesbians realised that they liked women, and therefore turned themselves off men, subconciously. I hate the theory. I thought of it, but I hate it. I hate the idea that I could like guys, because I really don't. But I think that there is a possibility that I somehow turned myself off them, like I did with meat, when I realised my attraction toward women. But in saying that, I do think bisexuals have a little preference. So right now my preference is 99.9% women .01% guys. Buy maybe I could get myself into a state where it was something more balanced like 30%- men 70% - women. I'm not saying I could, but maybe it is possible. |
