Erin - That is SO cool! I just felt your whole post in my gut as I was reading, and it is making me smile so much! Yay, you! Does Toastmasters videotape your speeches? That was the biggest help for me to get over nervousness about public speaking; I viewed a video from a speech I did in a Speech class. Even though I was VERY nervous, on film I looked poised, prepared and engaging! I had prepared a LOT for the speech, so I know that was helpful. It gave me a great perspective. I just recently spoke a local psychic here about starting a spiritual development group - she's up for it! I read about that in James' books. Do you have one there? |

Erin, how does that feel for you to be given all these messages that you are now a teacher, rather than a student? (although I'm sure you'll always be a student; I understand your guides are speaking of focus and taking your next steps.) Do you feel excited, anxious, ready, joyful? Are you seeing inspired actions arising? (My psychic guess is that they're popping up faster than you can write them down.) What way of being is most present for you in the face of this new epoch? |

I feel very ready to teach. I am bursting with information I want to share with others. When I hear people asking questions at these events I just want to jump in and answer them. I'm also seeing and hearing what people most want to know about. One issue I have logistically is that I'm not that well known in Vegas. So if I throw a workshop here, I'm not sure how many people will fly in who are already aware of me from my boards versus bringing in brand new people from vegas who don't know my work. I'd love to do workshops for people who are already familiar with my work but they are scattered around the globe. And yeah, I know I'll always be a student, but I feel ready now to begin sharing what I know with people who are following this path. I know I can make a difference in their lives. I feel excited to be sitting (er, or standing) in a room connecting with people. I'm nervous about doing readings in front of a group as I've never done that (except that one time a very long time ago when I was just getting started). I figure I'll practice a little and go from there. But I want to teach people how to do their own readings, how to tune in to their guides on their own. I don't just want to do a demonstration. Not sure what you mean by "what way of being is most present for you?" Can you rephrase that, counselor? I just want someone to put me in a room with 100-200 people and let me go |

Are you sure it must be workshops, with 200 people in the same room? With all the technology, spiritual- and brain-power at your disposal, is it possible there is another format that would work well for you in teaching across the globe, perhaps something that has never been tried before? By "way of being" I mean a quality or condition that you are deliberately taking on that will make a difference and inspire you. "Being a teacher" may sum it up, but maybe there is something else you are making a stand for Being in the world now, for yourself and for others. I think of inspiring ways of being as super-charged turbo propellants for getting your feet moving in the direction you want to go. |

I could do a teleseminar but I really want to be in the same room as the peeps. I wanna connect with them. I do too much behind a computer as it is. I wanna be with the people. I think initially I'll just set up the workshop locally and advertise it locally through my channels, and I'll announce it on my blog and if people feel like coming in for it, they can, and if they don't, that's okay too. Teaching and educating are the sensations that are driving me now. I am feeling very anxious to answer people's questions and help them tune in on their own. |

Hi Erin, It's great to see you walk down this path that we both saw for you a couple years ago! Congratulations on finally acknowledging you are ready. I recently had a similar experience at a workshop called Train the Trainer. I blogged it here: Are You Ready? » erica.biz - Erica Douglass shows you how to build an inspired, successful business. You may want to consider going to a workshop like that to help you find your footing. I had an amazing experience there. -Erica |
