I have a question: If somebody dies in a lower state of consciousness, such as suicide, and they are still in a lower state after they die how does that account for their wise higher self that chose to incarnate on the earth? Is that spirit that lingers before crossing over more associated with the body and mind? Does that spirit merge with the higher self when it crosses over? When does the unification of consciousness and experience take place? So is there a hierarchy that is something like: body/mind-spirit-higher self- total consciousness? Hope the question makes sense and can illicit clarifying response. Thanks! |

I've encountered people who suicided who don't "cross over" and merge back with their higher selves. They hang on to their earthly existence because they fear judgement. For them, the journey to the other side is not complete. They're in a sort of limbo. Then I've also encountered people who suicided who forgive themselves, accept responsibility for tying up the lose threads they left behind, and who cross over. They merge back with their higher consciousness.
