How funny. I was just reading James van Praagh's books for the first time, and he mentions development circles. I joined a meetup group here where it seems like I'll meet some like-minded people; hopefully, some will be interested in doing that. Just today, a friend - who lives 3.5 hours from me! - and I were saying we really wanted more "in person" meetings. Online and phone are OK, but we want to touch people! Then you posted this. I used to go to 12-step meetings, and for the past year (2 years?) I have not gone; they're no longer a good fit for me. I'm excited by the possibilities of a development group! Not to replace the 12-step group; I understand it won't be therapeutic in that way - but a different type of group! And real people, in real life. woo-hoo!! Thanks for the explanation, I was trying to picture what the group would look like! |
