Was she a guide?

Last night, wanting so badly to be helped by a guide, (i am going through a serious personal crisis) I put out the intention to see one. I meditated, did the 21 floors elevator visualisation, went up, and into a place which sometimes turns up in my dreams. I went into the terace garden, and waited on a bench and kept looking at the small bridge, through which I willed the guide to appear.

i fell asleep at this point. But in the morning, I woke up with a clear image of a person in my mind. She was very pale, clearly not a mortal, had a hazy halo around her, and her name, i understood as if it were written beneath her image, was Laura. She appeared very serious and was very static. Not moving or speaking.

The problem is, she did not appear in any way familiar to me. If she had been with me all the while, guiding me and leading me, I would have felt some kind of a connection with her, right? All i felt was a sort of eeriness. And she did not speak to me either. Just appeared. Was she a guide, or just my mind playing tricks?

I was thinking about her the whole day though, and can rememeber her very clearly. Please tell me if she indeed was a guide.

You don't necessarily feel a strong connection to your guides when you first meet them. So I wouldn't discount her on that basis alone. I didn't recognize my conduit guide, Bob, when we first met.

That said, she may not have been a guide. She could have been anything from a guide to a spirit, to a being just having a look-see at you. Or she could have been just a dream character. Time will tell. See if you see her again.
